Gday im reasonably new the trike etc scene,but when i seen this thing for sale i thought to myself "thats odd",its PERFECT.
Its an 82 model Kawasaki KLT 200 A3,This is what its supposed to look like.
But this is how mine looked !!

Well you've defiantely got your work cut out for you with that beast Ben. Weren't 250R parts hard enough for you to find anymore... That'd be a bugger to get parts for wouldnt it? 
I dont think ive ever seen one of those before.
Keep us updated on this build and be sure to post plenty of pics. Good luck with it mate.

Wow thats a gem, notice the stripe decals are very Tecate styled.....just needs some TLC Ben and she will look like new !

The plastics are stuffed,hard to find second handies,discontinued and not made aftermarket.So rick(atcheaven) and i are making them.
we may be able to reuse the headlight one,but wouldnt hurt to make some anyway.
This is the frame at the moment,ready for powdercoating.
I have majority of the parts needed so far,just need to find a rear hub and some tyres.

These are the parts i have,if anyone has something to suit one of these and would like to get rid of it or any 22x11x8 tyres send me a pm.
This is the powerhouse 198cc engine with a stump pulling 10.8ft-lbs of torque at 6000rpm,ok so it probably isnt that big.
What im really concerned about is this ad!! When the trike is finished i think ill have to marry my cousin and compete in the blackwater 100!!!

Its been a long time since i laughed that hard.
Seems like you've got a lot of it ready to go Ben, good stuff. Whats the engine like? It looks pretty good. What are you doing to it?
Also i think the Scorpion tyres are that size. I paid $99 ea for mine at The Dirt Bike Wreckers down Wallsend way.

cool thanks for the tip i went there today and they can do them for $120 the motor started and ran sweet. The electric start gear needs a little work but i will track down engine parts and rebuild it maybe bore it and run higher compression and a mid cam . Ill see what i can track down

damn i was getting excited... yeh the "lean mean green machine" is growing on me, i need to get the frame and other parts to the powder coaters its just hard to find the time.Im really digging the look of them,id say the black one is what they call a "duckster".

I have taken all the parts in to be powdercoated at pro strip,had to order a special colour MINT GREEN GLOSS, and custom black. Does anyone need a kidney or any other vital organs???Im going to be running out of money soon..

whoops posted twice .. I am using all new bolts and fully rewiring it and upgrading the charging circuit,also fitted power outlet and led lights...
I couldnt buy a new combination switch so im using a new TRX assembly,also couldnt get a new throttle so im using a Moose racing one off rick (ATC heaven) he has been a huge help so far. New levers and perches,the biggest battery i could get and all new electrical components.
Im fitting some large driving lights on the front of the forks for night rides and when im camping up the dunes. so i have fitted a relay and used all motorcycle style connectors.
