Thinking of buying a 450 4 stroke,( New or 2nd Hand) either Polaris, Yamaha or Suzuki. Any feedback on the pros and cons of these bikes would be appreciated

Go for it. I thought when I saw the title of the post you were going back to the 2 wheelers.

To fix the polaris S air box

This is how you fix the airbox. $20 buys you a sheet of air filter foam. Cut it into rectangles to cover your air box. Cut the guts out of your lid .

Plastic weld up any holes or silcone them. works like a charm. Now I change it after each race where as before I "profanity removed" swear at it.

I even rode Kamfari with a 2ltr coke bottle cut in half over the top so no water would get in . Secert weapon Laughing Laughing

hey just cus i've up graded dont mean you have to follow, you got a good machine , give it some riding time & up grade that rear shock, maybe a better steering damper & maybe "like me" , the rider needs to up gade his fitness ... lol

the honda 2 wheelers have alot of problems with their ti valves, but the quads are pretty good with their SS valves

the yamahas are the most reliable though

I know Clarkie is an auto-electrician so it might have something to do with the electrics on them. Dunno.

Been talked out a 4 stroke ( Didnt take much work) Am going to do some mods that 4stroker suggested. As my riding preferences are 1-Flattrack, 2-Enduro, 3-Mowing lawns etc.. 345-Motorcross, I think Ill stay with the lovely Ding Ding noise and the sweet sweet smell of Two stroke fumes rather than be a sheep and get a 4 poker Laughing One question though for 4stroker, if your a two stroker why are you called 4stroker??? thanks for the input people, Clarkie
