I got my son a Fuxin 70 for his first bike and it has been great. BUT today he tried crossing a creek and got bogged so I pushed him threw with my bike. He got threw the mud and rode around for about 10 minutes with no dramas, when he turned it off it wouldnt start again Evil or Very Mad So I towed him back across the creek. I checked the oil and it was full of water. No water in the carby or air filter. No spark at the plug so took the cover of the stator because the stator cover thingy had been cracked and it was full of water. I know stuff all about mechanics so any advise would be greatly appreciated on what I should do next. Coil,CDI Stator??? is there a common fault in this situation.

Thank you

Sorry blokes I couldnt help mysefl:+: laughing I new I would get a bite laughing

Clarkie - Im no mechanic so I dont know what you call all the parts so I find it hard to explain. But here gos, when I turned the key the starter motor worked but was not locking onto the shaft that comes outta the motor to turn the motor over, so I removed the big magnetic cylinder thing that the stator sits in and found that on the back of the big cyliner thing was 3 bearings that are ment to lock onto the shaft but they were full of dirt therefor did not move to lock onto the shaft which must spin to let the stator work to make the spark?????? anyway I cleaned the 3 bearings threw it back together and it worked Smile Also I found that the housing around the stator had a big hole in it which musta let the water and dirt in. Sorry if all that dribble didnt make sense but thats how I seen it.
Cheers Rip It Up
