hi all, just looking to buy a raptor 250 or 350 to race, and i was wondering which one would be the better bike
I have heard that the raptor 250 is better for MX but i just needed another opinion
any info would be great  |

| we have a 09 350 raptor its a good bike but its to narrow for any hard core corners its a bit on the heavy side and not real fast trx 400 eats it so would need some dollars spent on it to race it, the 250 would be a better racer but there not a very big bike but the banshee proberly better than both of them. |

Well if its is in the junior class i'm not sure bout where you are but here in victoria 300cc 4 stroke is the limit so the 350 is too big to race anyway.
And if it isn't juniors on those bikes you will get smoked. Go the 450 if it isn't junior.

I agree. The wife's 350 is almost as tall as my 700 which makes it feel very tippy. They are a great trail ride machine though, but even with a pipe, filter and bigger jets fitted, it is far from being quick enough to race.

hi man i heard you lookin out to buy a bike.  i would reckomend a raptor 250 there light wieght good for motorcross you can get all after market things you can think of!!!!!!!!!!  |

| if its for juniors then definitely stick with the 250, they are pretty much the best thing to have at the moment for junior 12-16 yr old racing in australia at the moment |

could anybody aslo tell me if i can race a raptor 250 (in a junior class) with just nerfs and a kill switch
Im just wondering if i have to make any major, or other mods to it before it can race
I'm hoping i dont have to

| pretty sure nerfs and kill switch will be all you need, and probably a back number plate from the grab bar. |
