depends on what you want them to do really.

if your looking to alter your power band, run em between the reeds and the barrel. The idea here is that it unshrouds the boost port, and depending on the rest of your setup you may notice a slight increase in bottom/mid. however i feel that any gains made there are offset by an increase in crank case volume, which lowers cranking compression, resulting in less peak horse power.

if you are only looking to run them to lift a bigger set of carbs off the clutch arm, then run em between the reeds and the manifold. the increase in intake tract length will affect power delievery very slightly but you wont even notice it.

running them either way can also affect your jetting so be aware you may need to play with it, especially needle postion.

Wot E sed.
Make sure all your componets are really well match ported before playing this game in the search for more power.
Any minor hp differences you notice could be from differences in how well these components line up, not the actual spacer dimension. Smile

well then, leave the reeds up against the barrel and put the spacers in between the reeds and manifold.

what carb are you running?

on the banshee if you are running bigger carbs (33/35 keihins) but dont have a good manifold to lift em off the clutch arm, you can bend the clutch arm down a bit to clear. can also grind a little off the float bowl drain bolt.

lots of ways to skin a cat...

also on the powerband, you used to be able to get blue green and red, i think the red ones were the best?

mark
