Everyone is looking for somewhere to ride, people are saying the club doesn't offer anything for trail riders which has been true in the past. The club has run an add in the Weekly times looking for properties to ride on. After a huge amount of km's and phone calls I have organised the following events:
Moulamein (2000 acres of bush) for the 8th, 9th and 10th May.
Ouyen (6000 acres part bush) for the 19th, 20th and 21st June.
Mansfield - 17th, 18th and 19th July.
Kingston SE (Sandfest) - 29th, 30th Oct, 1st, 2nd, 3rd Nov.
Let me know if you are interested in attending these events as we need your support for these events to work. If we don't get the support needed I personally will not be able to organise any future events. Any questions Phone Geoff on 0428 337 076. Check the QRCV website for costing and more details. Thanks!

So do you have to be a member to do these? Also what is the Lic/permit. Is that the MA race licence thing?

well from what i was told, if you dont have rego Rolls eyes you will need a ma permit, and there's a weekend club fee of $20 bucks, will the president be there I wonder ? Laughing The ouyen propety sounds the the go. Lets hope the club can get it together and give something back to the trailriders, and if all the trailriders get behind it, then its win win for us.

Feral, yes you need QRCV membership to attend these events ($60 per annum- download application form from web) & yes the event is being held under a MA one event permit so you have insurance coverage if you have an off. The permit cost is cheaper the more people attend, so the more the merrier & last count I think we have 8-10 quads attending, some of which are wives & GF's.
The Ouyen ride should be reasonably close to you I think. Confused
Check out the QRCV site for details.

cheers.........

PostPosted: Tue May 05, 2009 8:51 pm Post subject: fees for trail ride Reply with quote Back to top

Hi, It is $40 per day to ride (including camping) which goes to the property owner. The licence for the whole event is $20 unless you have a race licence. If you are not a member of the club it is $20 for a weekend membership, which you can only do once. If you then decide to join the club the $20 comes off your membership fee. The permit for the weekend is $220 which is divided between the amount of riders that turn up e.g. 10 riders @ $22 each, 20 riders @ $11 each etc. Any questions you can call me on 0428337076

Hi Andy,
Normally we set up a base camp & then ride out from there, not unlike some of our rides last year, but without the shack. Number of days is up 2 you.
PS we can supply directions in case you have a habit of getting lost laughing Rolls eyes laughing

cheers....
