I did remove, said offensive emotions, but I have put them here for all to see.

I was not out of order one little bit, and dont asume I was, I will always defend this sport from the likes of people who do not understand the nature of these machines and when a novice states he wants to put a second seat on a bike that is designed for one person, and openly go against the manufacturers own limitations, well I stand by what i say and I know there are a many members here that will agree with me and i can assure there are lot of members hee that would not normally back me but in this instance you are wrong and you sir are out of order. And here the other reply I made when you had a (fair) crack at me, in the other thread, just so its all out there.

But the Forum police tell me this is a no-no and I shouldnt have asked such a rude question. |
Sorry to hijack this for a minute, but the forum in general is trying to promote quads as safe and the riders that use them as safe to, Too many times does the press grab a headline quads kill this or injure this person and for give me saying this but you stated you only need a quad to tow a tinnie to the beach, well I use my quad to trail ride, and the occasional enduro, So I class my self as a quad rider, where as you might class your self as fisherman who needs a quad to acheive your chosen sport... So no doubt I did offend you the other day, and for that I'm sorry, but the context in which I said I still stand by and if you feel I'm out of line, I cant change that. And here's why I am so such a stick in the mud.

http://wotnews.com.au/like/quad_bike_crash_kills_woman_75/2590129/
do a google on this and you'll see that most of them are by people who dont respect them, use them incorrectly and dont wear helmets, so there you have it, I will protect the integrity of the users here because we ALL want the same thing

mate-how about getting over yourself a bit?
My crack at you was about you modifying my post then quoting it.
Not about your views on helmets and other stuff.
I am a member of quite a few forums and cant say that I have come across a moderator that does that sort of thing to make themselves look good.
Then after I pulled you up on it you went back and edited it so it looked like you hadnt done it.
Then only admitted it when someone else pointed your actions out.
Perhaps you need to have a look at what you are doing and put your self above this sort of crap.
I thought that was the purpose of a moderator.
Im sure you have the power to kick me off your forum should it make you feel better, and if you feel you need to do this then go ahead. Otherwise grow up and get over it. |

All I can say is no one is forcing to be on here. Yogie is the number 1 poster on this site so he knows what he is talking about. Also I have met him personally and he isn't the kind of person to put someone else down to make himself look good. He is a good bloke. Everyone else that knows him will agree. He is just doing his job.

Thanks for the support feralkid But rather sadly I think the whole point has been hidden here, I just think that doubling up on a single seater quad is not safe simple as that, I would like to think that, we as a community here can see that.

| You all should come to nth. qld. its not odd to see 3 or 4 on a bike along the beach holden on with one hand and a rod or a bucket in the other. Yogi go down to werribie sth. look at what the farmers do with them down there or sheperton in the season towing a trailer with 2or3 1 ton fruit bins on them the A.T.V. has now replaced the old TE20./M.Fergie. |

since when does having the mosts post mean that he know's what he's talking about......
BTW there is a reason why Can Am and Polaris both make 2 seater models _________________

Just curious Pete, do the 2 seater models have a longer wheelbase ?
Always wondered about that. _________________ The term "Foolproof" seriously underestimates the ingenuity of Fools.

the short answer would be yes... about 300mm longer in most cases. _________________

fisho - life on the forum can seem blunt but unfortunatly it's the moderaters who have their backsides kicked for not moderating. If any member has a problem with something then they can complain to the moderaters and they have to do or say something. At one stage Can Am was getting the shits about problems with canams and their dealers which prompted who threads disappearing. However these day they seem to be more focused on fixing shitty service rather than picking on the moderater and the members threads. (or I hope they are) I have quite often seen emoticons added to quote to display the responders feels regarding the quoted parts.
Poor yogie is a great fella if you get to meet him.
Smitty aka cowchaser with his ultra fast cows is good value too. (even if he does ride canam ) Hey does this concern for little people mean your new wife may be providing heirs to the dairy empire soon?
I understand what you mean about the two seaters however the producers of the dual seater quads are taking a huge liablity in producing them so their standards i suppose should be high (I hope). I have a friend who part of his work has to use a bombfarter aka can am and he says it's the heavist and slowest piece of "profanity removed" but it gets the job done
I have seen a lot of pig hunters up here get a tray made for their quads and they carry dogs on them. But by doing so void the OEM libilty.
I am pleased that you do understand that we as a forum family don't want to encourage anything that may cause the death or injury of important people. God! they say quad bikes are danagerous as it is and honestly after my recent experience motor vehicle are heaps more deadly! A 5 second mistake can ruin your family life! My kids kept naging to ride on the back and i have found the easist and safest way to satisfy the kids is to buy them 90cc and 50ccs of their own
with their own helmets - which they think are way cool in the colours of their own choosing.but then you may need a bigger trailer for the boat and all the quads
oh and fish0 just watch the ragging i get over this post! _________________ Family is most important.... next is our quads |

Have to agree with you Viv, on a most points, i own two bombas and i call them bombs , i would say that they are the slowest and biggest thing i have ridden in the form of being 2 seater capable , but i use them soley for work as no other unfortunately can do the same job , i use them for contract spraying, above and beyond probably what they were designed for , but i still gear up when i use them as i realise the danger if one should overturn , coming in close to 800 kg all loaded and with me on it , yes yogie i had to say that before you did , i treat it with great repect.
And i would never contemplate fitting a second seat to my one seater quad.
As moderators we have a job to do unfortunately not every one agrees with each such time we have to pull up some one , so lets all be happy and ride quads lol _________________ 2012 Can am Outlander Xt 1000cc
