ok so i am pretty sure that i lost the bung for my motor while riding. . a lot of oil had spewed out but it still had some left, any way i think that its comming for just above where the header pipe joins the motor in about a 1cm diameter hole which i think should be plugged, here are some very bad pictures to hopefully help you
i need to know what its called so i can get a new one because i cant find any pictures or get hold of anyone
thanks

Thats the Decomp plug. Its a solid seal to fill in the gallery left by the manual decomp system that was used in previous years, Yamaha must have carried the same casting over.
Your best bet is to get a billet one that is held in by the retaining bolt on the side. That way it will never blow out again _________________ www.quadsquad.com.au

what adam said but also I've still got some billet plug that I had made up for the 04 motors and I've possibly even got the seal that you need to go on them too PM me if you want one and I'll post it over. _________________

When you install the new billet plug, be sure not to over tighten the retaining bolt. It's very easy to strip! _________________ Don't close your eyes during the crash, you'll miss the best part |
