WA State Motocross Championships


This Year Clubman Quads have a field including 10 new racers to State Round, the grid is full and some riders missing out on the reserve list, packed with talent, look out for Clubman’s to provide some great close racing.
Second Year Clubmans Callum Boult, Brodie Puleo, Nathan Vestey, Jessica Osborne will be the ones to watch, with Brad Filbey & Kyle Brenton up from Juniors are certain to be mixing it up with the front runners. Young Sam Derbyshire, Michael Woodhead & Mitchell Clarke wont be sitting back watching, which will make the results in round 1 determine some sort of order between all these youngsters.
Quite a mix of older riders in the Clubman grid, I’m sure some side results will be being compared at the end of the day with some healthy bench racing.

Intermediate Quads includes some very fast riders, and as it was in the last 2 seasons, I’m sure the Intermediates will be in the mix for overall top 5 positions amongst the Pro’s. Ricky Stephens won Clubman’s in ’08 and to date this year has finished Tumbulgum outright 3rd to Brenton & Yewers. Ross Varnavides returns after a season away and all eyes will be on him on board the SBR Honda. Steve Trandos, Michael Harcourt, Vince Thomson and Tom & Daniel Udell round out a healthy Intermediate grid.

Pro Quad Championship includes some of Australia’s best Quad riders, Chad McKay (Can-Am) Anthony Yewers(KTM), Taylor Milling(Aus #6) Luke Gaisford (RPS Can-Am) while Aus #1 Ryan Lancaster(Yamaha) sits out with Injury, Glen Ashworth, Garry Stacey & Colin Jefferies make a welcome return, along with exciting young riders Coby Holland & Kyle Lawrence from Esperance, Chris Brenton after 5 seasons will miss round 1
The mix is dynamic, from determined youngsters who have been on the fringe of Championship Podiums, to riders having already obtained Aus #1 Ttitles
