Looking at a new Honda TRX420. EFI, manual, water cooled and mono shock rear end. Anyone know much about these ? I've heard they go pretty good and good on fuel. Just want it for hunting on so won't be racing around. Prefer manual as auto's rev too much when putting around. Thanks _________________ Its better in the bush |

I woulod look at an IRS model if hunting. I think you'll need the ground clearance if your punting through the bush.
Luckily......the new '09 model is IRS and also a 5 speed auto with an electronic manual shifter.

Sorry Linc was just a bit of an in joke at my mates expense (Dazzler).
He bought his bike and we just went on a bit of a hunting expedition with it last week.
Trouble was he said it was advertised with a pull starter and felt extremely ripped off when it turned up without one!
Sorry again, should have made my joke longer for group consumption, but there it is _________________ www.asho.com.au for your shooting and outdoor needs

Hey, the honda trx 420's are a nice bike, very reliable, are very strong to only ever get them in to work on for a service or crash damage very rarely do they have mechanical problems, all the stations by them up here in N.T because they are so reliable, they would never choose a polaris if a honda is avalible. I would buy one personally but i don't like the auto/electronic maunal shifting, the left hand controls are messed up pain in the arse i think personally i would just go for the manual shift version nothing to go wrong _________________ the stuf on the 04 yfz... lonestar axle(thanks jono), protaper bars ,2+stem, Pro armour, jetted ,custom airbox (thanks to huskygoat),unifilter,Gibson LT a arms, Fox float x evol, 08 swingarm (thanks Quad), stroked( thanks quad squad) |

I have this exact same model and it is a great hunting quad up here in the topend. just trying to find a stiffer shock for the rear so it doesnt sag with the extra gear I carry when hunting? It does 90km/hr + on the airstrips and is super reliable and fuel efficient. |
