| Either dont ride the bike, or carry a second air filter so you dont have to wash and re oil during away rides |

the very wise and old petew told me years ago, oil up some chux wipes and just let them stick to the filter, and peel them off, and leave them in the air box, works a treat. _________________ 2005 KFX700

I dont know about putting another on, but I just use it as a way to keep the weekend as hassel free as possible. _________________ 2005 KFX700

1.) Spare filter
2.) Outerwear (if using a cotton gauze filter)
3.) K&N Powerlid with Drycharger
4.) other brands of filter lids _________________ Don't close your eyes during the crash, you'll miss the best part |

The 09 can-am mx has a foam filter with an outerwear standard
so you can fit outerwear to foam filter & it works well _________________ THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE ASSISTED MY FAMILY IN THERE RACING OVER LAST FEW YEARS |

ahh the point with the chux is that you dont have to wrestle it off the air filter mid ride like you have to with a pre filter.
The idea of a pre filter is to stay on there where as the chux was more of a alternate version to a quick release filter skin which is hard to do with the shape of most quad air filters compared to bike filters.
An outerware cover will do the job most of the time the chux was more for extreme dust conditions when you need to get longer out of you filter. I've done it over pre-filters too.
an outerwares airbox cover will help the cause too. I'm not a huge fan of the K&N power lids though. _________________
