Regards from the Madman

We are penciled in for 2 classes mate , if everyone shows up we should have at least 30.
Pro/expert/ intermediate run together ,
then Clubman & ladies will run together (scored seperately).

^^^^^^
Exellence, that was back at the beginning eek , had to dust of the old photo album to jog the memory , I was on the deadly Z400 with the front guards uncut Cool . From what i can see in the photograph (pre digital days) we had 7 line up & out of that you and I are the only 2 still going , I'll bring the photo's with Wink

Should have the engine back by next weekend , still a bare frame at the moment , got the frame and A-arms powdercoated , hopefully it'll look as good as back in 2004, if only I could pedal as fast as the original owner did, laughing

Awesome , I was just thinking of giving them a call earlier today.
I'm guessing at least 30 minimum, or a better guess might be half of Queenslands active Moto X community Cool

update; I heard a whisper there are 25 noms so far Cool , the club is amped with the extra interest this year , with mention on how many of the senior bike riders look forward to the quad class as their
*main entertainment for the day.
Track is getting a full refurb, thanks to the council for loaning the Grader ,Loader and roller, I'm told the whoops look mickey mouse laughing

The Speedway called , Good news , Bulldog Bikes from Mitchell has offered sponsorship for the quad class , Trophies and vouchers for the
top 3.
Nomination for the speedway is $10 bucks to join the club for the night and 10$ bucks to enter the gate , if we can organize to pay these fees to myself or kelly at the moto X , we can sort it so you can drive straight through the main gate , say your name and number , go through to the back paddock and get ready to race !
Also for entertainment they have the classic,
holden V ford ,best burnout, then dropping them both 180ft from a crane for a crash test, lit up with a few grands worth of fireworks,
good bang for your buck I say.

Spoke to Jade today, we have 15 definite nominations in already with people still calling in enquiries . He also said because of the delay releasing the supp regs, the $20 late fee does not apply of course.
Nominations can be paid at scrutineering Fri afternoon and Sat morning as usual.

Thats a definite on the two groups, we can only fit maximum 20 quads to the grid.
Ladies and Clubman (amateur) will run in the same race but scored separately,
Pro's and the intermediate will race together , I would like to see separate
point count between the two classes , and have asked the club to see if they could get separate trophies made , not sure if my request got through in time though.
Basically we all assemble under the stageing shed, and elect our desired class , then judged by the response of our peers , if we all agree the rider suits that class , say yay, if not say nay, .

If you mean speedway , then yes they only have enough time for the one class , you will find not everyone who does the mx will do the circlework, I gave him a guesstimate figure of about 20 judging by last years numbers, he said they'll fit Wink just bring them eek .
**********************************************************
Does anyone want to call the race @ the speedway and also keep score, if they don't plan to race ?
They don't know any names or numbers and to be honest all quads look the same to car nuts, so he asked if we can organize someone familiar with the group might be better for the job.
Don't be shy , you can never hear what is being said on a speedway speaker system , just rattle names and lots of exited yelling should do the trick , otherwise ,I can do it , just checking to see if there are any race callers amongst us first ?

Postie. Can you ask them to put a couple of bike classes between the 2 quad classes? That way Jono can ride my quad in the other class to get another quad on the gates and everyone gets a chance to watch the other class. Smile
