hi all

we have been allocated a open event at Raymond Terrace on the 28th of June 09, this is great for NSW MX as we have not had one of these in years. unfortnutly at the moment we don't have juniors approved so we cannot include this as a class at present.
we are trying to attract interstate riders as well as local riders to make this event as succesful as possiable. we have made the date when as far as we know when there is no other ATV event on.

as it is an open event you will need to have an open national MA licence.

we are also open to suggestions on classes and duration of races, so let us know what you think.

cheers mick

A/Open/Pro Class - 15 Minutes +2 Laps
B/Intermediate/Expert Class - 10 Minutes +1 Lap
C/Clubman/Beginner Class - 5 Laps

Ladies - 5 Laps

Juniors (if possible) - 7 Laps

It conflicts with an interclub series in QLD but some might be able to make it down. Smile

hi all

thats right on sunday the 28th of June 2009, Hunter Motorcycle Club the NSW KTM Quad Challenge at Raymond Terrace.
KTM have kindly come on board as the major sponsor for the event and we look foward to some close racing between some of australia's best ATV riders.

this is a quad only event with some of Australias top pro and intermediate MX riders will be attending, including a confirmed KTM factory rider Chris Brenton will make the trip from WA for this event.

Classes to be include but not confirmed are
Pro
Expert
Clubman
Vets 35+
Womans
Snr Lites (adult class on max 300cc 4 stroke and 200cc 2 stroke
Manfactures cup ( any 2 riders on the same make of bike can team up, details to be finalised)
state of origin, NSW, Qld, Vic and WA

Supp Regs to be released shortly

this is the first time NSW has had an open ATV only event in years, and we hope we can attract a good number of entrants to keep this event as an annual thing.

we are in the final stages of organising the event, and we are still in the hunt for some sponsors to assist class sponsorship, prize money, and holeshot awards.

if your interested or know of a company or business that would like to sponsor a class or holeshot awards, please get them to contact me on 0438151748 or at mxn@onthenet.com.au

more details to follow soon

Thanks for your fantastic input darren. Once again looking out for the interests of the sport. I really commend you on your valiant effort. If you don't understand some of the words try using a dictionary to look them up. Might even find one on ebay next time you're on there.

Back to people that have something nice to say.........

the final format is being finalised and will be announced with the release of the supp regs, hopefully in a week or so.

hey Barn,

unfortunetly no, MA does not allow day licences at Open Events.

you need a senior national licence.

this is one of the only downfalls, but we have Glen pickering from the Hunter Club, organising licences leading up to the event, for those who do not have one.

please contact me if you wish to get your licence and i can put you in the right direction. remmber that you will need atleast 3 weeks before the event to get all the paper work in, as MA states that they will maynot process them in time otherwise.

Senior Quad National Competition Licence Observation - We have tentatively lined up MX Central and our vice-president Peter Starkey for 3.00pm Saturday May 30.
MX Central are operating on the day, so riders can go there earlier in the day and ride the MX track and meet for the observation or just turn up at 3.00pm to be observed. We will require only 5 minutes per rider and may do it in the centre of the dirt track, if the dirt track riders have finished for the day. Those who have come for only the observation will have to put their bikes away, unless they want to pay to ride the MX track afterwards.
please contact me or Jo hardiman if you would like to attend this next Sunday.
