why are you changing the main jet? what is in it at the moment? will 105 be richer or leaner?
have you changed the exhaust system or removed the air box lid or simlar?
i dont know much about trx250s, but a 105 sounds like a keihin main jet. you should be able to loosen the intake boot and airbox boot, and spin the carb around so you can access the float bowl bung. remove that (17mm spanner), and with a 6mm socket you will be able to remove the main jet. screw in the new one and away you go.
BUT why are you changing it in the first place?
also this and your other thread in here should be in the technical section.

whoever made the exhaust system should be able to give you jetting specs to suit.
get your mate over and play with the jetting. may need to adjust the needle position and pilot jet too. _________________ 2002 SE Banshee |

Throw the 105 main jet in and try it.
I can't remember the standard size, but hopefully the 105 is couple of sizes bigger.
Simple test is if it revs up quick when cold without the choke when cold, and pulls ok without choke when relatively cold.
If it flatspots like buggery... you are still too lean, so don't hammer it around until you have someone with a fair knowledge have a look at it.
Out of curiosity, what was the std main jet size?
Like many enviromentlly friendly little Hondas, the std jets are often quite lean and it takes a while to get them off the choke anyway.
So even stock, they respond well to going up one jet size. _________________ Can-Am X Team

Ok
The 105 should be a minimum but good start point.
I would not be suprised if a 110 is the go.
98 to 105 is only 1 1/2 sizes up and I'm sure a stocky would not run 'too' rich on a 105.
good luck. _________________ Can-Am X Team
