The vibration comes from the fact that it is a motorcycle engine and was built for racing, that is why you will find that the early two stroke engines in the trikes (atc250r) all have a counter balancer at the front of the engine, the CR 500 engine doesn't.
They vibrate in the CR's also but you don't seem to notice it as much. |

i would love one of those in the shed. $4500 is cheap considering the trailer and ohlins shocks etc...
i have spoken at length with a guy in the US who races one of those in flat track/speedway events.
he says there is nothing like it, nothing touches them and you cant feel or notice the vibes when your racing, but sitting on the start line or in the pits idling and the thing will shake itself to bits and the teeth out of your head!
last i spoke to him he was thinking about selling it coz he was getting sick of welding cracked pipes and replacing lost nuts and bolts, but couldnt quite bring himself to do it!
apparently there is not alot you can do about the vibes either, many have tried..
