Yamaha Cases you need to replace as a set.....if old mate QUAD doesn't have a set they aren't that expensive (around $900 which is good far a set of cases from yamaha)

how did the chain come off? do you have a skid plate with a chain guide on it?

Last time i got a price from yamaha it was $1800 that was retail

nah no chain guard only stock plastic one but its a bit worse for wear, but i think it was just lack of checking it before the race and it must of been a little too loose... Sad

Ahh. plastic ones once they are a bit beat up will flex enough to let the chain jump. I'd be getting hold of a good alloy plate (and putting a new guide on it) once you've got the engine fixed. also a bigger case saver (the stock ones are rubbish)
