Heading to springbrook farm for a ride. Getting there about 8 am. It's about 30 km from kilkivan. 1000 acre property with some nice hill climbs and good flats/creeks .All the trails are marked .If anyones interested I'll post how to get there. Thanks scotty. _________________ 06 700 raptor 50th anniversary |

If you're coming from gympie , head to kilkivan and as you go out of town turn to the right at the golf course and follow this road to the burnett hwy and turn right. Follow this until you get to 8921 which is on the left handside. thanks scotty. _________________ 06 700 raptor 50th anniversary |

We have been there before and always enjoy the place. Ended up with only four of us there.[nobody else] 1000 acres of varying terrain from a creek to open paddocks to undulating / hilly tracks. Most of the trails are wide and very quad friendly. There are 3 or 4 hill climbs that are quite challenging and steep!! $20 for the day and there is plenty of great spots to camp. Its well worth the drive ,if not for having the place to yourself .Thanks scotty. _________________ 06 700 raptor 50th anniversary |

At manar Jed and I have done some pretty steep hill climbs i.e. down in the 4wd areas but with constant throttle control and good body positioning we have managed to get up these tracks thru the washouts. At springbrook the hills with washouts running down them are alot softer and instead of crawling up and over obstacles , you gas it and the back spins ,bites in and sinks . The easiest way to combat this was to pick a different line to the existing trail i.e. in virgin ground to the left or right ,and there would be no problem. thanks scotty. _________________ 06 700 raptor 50th anniversary |
