 |
|
| Im looking at getting a 4x4 hilux dual cab (1990-1996) and was wondering if anyone has put their quad in the back of these? or any dual cab 4x4 for that matter? Im sure a quad will fit with the tail gate down, im just wondering if its more trouble then it worth. I want a dual cab so the missus and kid can come with me up to stocko... |

| Yep, will fit in the back with the tailgate down, little bit of a hassle cause of the wheel arches, but works fine. If you get annoyed with that just put a alloy tray on it, you can legally put a 6ft x 6ft tray on a dual cab or their was a fella on here making quad cargo carriers to put in utes, if you search it i'm sure you will find it. |

if its light at the front (or 4x4) you cna get the front up on cab and strapped onto rail.... we had two farm bikes in a pickup. one like this and the other with its ass hanging off the back door... looked nuts but was all strapped down secure..... _________________

| thanks for the replies. yep i thought i would have to put the front wheels up onto the wheel arches. also i have no plans to widen my bike so that should not be a problem |

We have a 4WD dual cab hilux, and we used it Sunday to take a quad, only problem was, took 2 of us to push it up the ramps, one to jump in the back to lift it up on the wheel arches. Going to take the tray back next time, not so high off the ground ! (cant wait til the trailer is fixed) _________________ www.waquadmx.com |

That was a 50 inch wide can-am x mx and we have a tray liner in the back. its a 1994 model, apparently after that the cabs got bigger and the trays smaller ! _________________ www.waquadmx.com |

With a space cab it will fit with the tail gate up, but with a dual cab the tail gate has to be down. I've got a dual cab and it still works fine with the tailgate down but make sure you strap it in properly. Roycroft has a space cab and his quads fit in the back of his nicely with tailgate up. _________________ Thanks to: Hardiman ATV, Team MXN & CRB |

| yeah i was considering a space cab but im not sure if you can put a baby seat in the back. Sounds like the hilux dual cab might be a bit of a mission to load my bike on if i go for a ride by myself. i might look into a dual cab with a tray on it big enough to fit my bike. cheers for all the replies |

My YFZ450 will also fit, but it's not easy. The wheel arches are the problem. Obviously the Tail gate has to stay down as well.

I made a rack that fits on top of the wheel arch for my rodeo dual cab. Still need tailgate down with quad on. With a couple of ramps its a man job. _________________ 08 RAPTOR 700 |
