Smokey i had a 400 kodiak and had 2 x55watts on it
on my 08 700 grizzly i am running 2 x100 watt spot lights and they work fine .
you can do a quick check hook them up temporary and at idle they might be dull
.if you rev it up and they go brighter that means it will flaten your battery quicker, and have too much load on your system.
can you change your globes to 55watts ??would be better then you know they will be ok.
hope this helps you . _________________ 2008 yamaha grizzly 700EPS /EFI

no, you will overload the stator and eventually burn it out _________________ Queensland Quad Riders Association

Was talking to Scott from ATVS Unlimited in Newcastle - 0408 298 600 and he was showing me a very nice (and compact) HID Light, put out a brilliant light and only drew 17 Watts...
These lights werent particularly cheap...... good gear rarely is. (though they certainly werent expensive given that they were HID). |

you can run a set of 35w Hid kits in your lights if they take H1, H3, or H4 about $130 for the set.
will provide more than ample light you could even get away with one light half the $$
I have two on my Polaris |

hid is the way to go..... brighter, cooler, less voltage draw and less scatter... good for bike applications... i used to sell them for subaru's in h1 and h4 and ive had a set on a delica for 6mths doing off road and they have been fine getting bashed about.... _________________

If you are going to fit 55w globes I recomend Phillips Plus 80, these are 80 percent brighter than stock and have the same current draw as standard globes (approx 9 amps) _________________ Has turned to the Dark Side! |
