Hi John
Jaden would'nt have a clue about the results because Katherine and I spent all day sunday finalising all the paperwork for presentation to M.Q. on monday morning. I will, later today publish a full race report and results for you all to see and whilst we are on the subject of thanks I think they should be directed to the guys who put in the hard yards on the day, like Mark Mammarella, Chris Mammarella and david Di mascio who opporated the start grids all day in hot 33 degrees. Katherine, Sarah and Maria who did all the lap scoring on their own and then there is the track watering guys who despite heaps of sun block still went home sun burnt these are the unsung heros of the day because without their efforts and committment no quad would have turned a wheel all day and they did it not expecting any thanks or reward.
Best Regards

It was definitly a great event. Was also good to catch up with some people and meet some people off here.
I was only watching and was having heaps of fun.... Glad I wasn't one of the pro riders heading into the tight section at the top of the hill at the start of every race. We could here metal smashing metal from the grand stands. lol.... you guys are crazy. _________________ Mic

Hi Mic
Yes, I agree those guys definately have some pscycological problems that need to address very quickly. As for that banging of metal you heard I think that was my knees knocking together.

Thanks to all the people who put the event together,Dereck,Katherin...you Qld'ers should be proud, great venue and the event overall was awsome. The 70 footers were a little daunting to start with ,but with a little practise it was better to jump em than not !
Loved the Start leg and top corner (Smitty stood out here! Sic man!) It was metal mayhem alright, but oh so much fun!
Special thanks to Mr and Mrs Worth for picking up our Quads From Parks to the event, legends! Mat Coulter KK for your invite to party after (Sorry we couldnt make it ,Taxies were a real problem that night and the crew wanted to go to the big smoke!) will speak with you soon. Mick Roycroft for your help with getting my Quad back to NSW. Luke Beechey (Mrs Beechey)for giving me a bed and its always great to catch up with the Quad clan from all over the country(you know who you are!) til next time

Hey John ,
When you said Ang was pretty quick you weren't joking, if she doesn't get a trophy for best crash , she should get one for rookie of the year , she looked pretty comfortable up the business end, hope it doesn't put her off racing. Thanx for the loan of the part's , hope you found them.
To all those invovled in making it happen thanx for putting together the best day's quad racing on Qld's calender , from all the entrant's who didn't get to say it from the podium. |

Yet another successful Queensland Quad Cup, much thanks goes out to the organisers, namely Jaden, Derek and Katherine oh and thorny thanks for the use of your pipe, but when will you need it?
Thanks also to the interstate competitors for making the time to come on up, hope you enjoyed the event and hopefully next year my budget may alow me to do a bit of travelling aswell.
John give my best wishes to Ang for a speedy recovery, I didn't see the crash but heard it was quite spectacular.
Hope your feeling better soon aswell Tim, just take it a bit easier in the wheelchair eh mate.
Can't wait till next year now! _________________ Yes i am a farmer, and NO that doesn't make me stupid, just MAD! KTM 505sx, the chicken splitter |
