ok as you probably know i needs a new helmet
the six six one is still in perfect condition after the docs diagnose my brain bruising like having an over ripe tomato instead of a brain. just like the M2R was after the brain bleed in May last years opps.....
Goes into NT Motocycle centre and in the fox brand ($659) the Mediums 57/58 are too tight and the Large 59/60 is too huge... The sales manager tells me i needs to cut of my hair or eat more cake... All other helmets there are cheapies
Any suggestions? _________________ Family is most important.... next is our quads |

| i found different brands seem to be sized different sometime, or some just feel better than others. Ive got a ONE INDUSTRIES and find it very comfy and think they are good quality. Id just try on different ones , or go to the nearest cake shop, |

i allways think comfort / safety are equally important,
so just find one that fits well,
ps the hole goes at the front. |

I've been wearing Matrix and Axo for the last couple of years, and been lucky that my sponsors helmets fit 'me' so well.
Before that I had an M2R and that was a good fit for me also.
Exact size and shape do vary across the brands.
So yeah try them all, you might be surprised what fits best.
I keep going back to my first Matrix helmet (Red Miami Finke one).
It fits slightly better than my new Matrix, but the in general the Matrix helmets must be one of the lightest around (if not 'the' lightest).
Even lighter if you take the peak off _________________ Can-Am X Team

I've been wearing TLD helmets for a few years now, before that I had tried quite a few other brands but the TLD one seem to be the best fit for me. It sounds like your going to be a bit stuck for option to try on helmets up there though Viv _________________

Yes Pete thats is the problem the shops cater in helmets for the chinese "profanity removed" buyers and so the cheap end of the market is readily available but after 2 brain injuries in 12 months - i have done the 8weeks bed confinement - i want protection even if i am broke - and bullet i though they put the peak on for protection not as a fashion accessory... each to his own...
we have previously ordered an arai out of the cataloge and found it didn't feel comfortable so i think try before buy is the way it needs to be done. so i suppose i am asking - is there a heap of shops close together which have variety in store? I was thinking maybe a fling to the gold coast may work - there is about a dozen stores in the same street their including Paul Feeney groups main office (for those that don't know he is the importer of husqvarna half quads). Any other areas worth considering? _________________ Family is most important.... next is our quads |

Elizabeth St in Melb would be the same as the gold coast, about 6 shops with plenty of choice. _________________

It is a new design, thats probably why you havnt heard of them, or maybe you just dont get them where you live?
But yh, the V4 is pretty cool, i tried one on and they are very comfortable! |
