| 2006 grizzly 660 leaking fuel from the looks like the bowl over flow from the carbie??? there is a glod nut that screws in where the tube runs out of and i cannot seem to tighten it to stop the leak???? any ideas? would that screw need replacing as it tapers off at the end and looks a little warn? bike has only done 350 hours. |

I know on my chinese 110 i had a similar thing happen and the fuel kept running out of the overflow and it was because there was some dirt in the carbie stopping the needle going all the way down and that was making the fuel overflow. Also once the float levels where messed up because I had rolled it so it wasn't going all the way down and shutting the fuel off.
Dunno if thats your problem though. Just thought it might help.

Feral is on to it.
The 'gold nut' is probably the bowl drain screw.
there is another over flow gallery that leads to the same drain.
Either your fuel level needle and seat has some crap jamming it open,
or, your float level is bent or adjusted too high.

My boss who is a mechanic told me when i did it just try opening the screw right up and letting some fuel flow out to try and suck the dirt out but if that doesn't work you will have to take it off and clean it. I just blow mine out with a spray paint thing on the air compressor with some kero in it. Does a good job and gets into all the little places.
That is one thing about the chinese bikes tho. You learn more about how to fix them.

Its got a good fuel filter on it already from when I had some bad carbie trouble before. I think some of it comes in through the air box because no matter what we try we can't get a 100% seal. Or it gets through the top on the accelorator cable because the rubber seal has gone. Its a lot better now than before though because we have got a better air filter on it now.
