Average. My shoulder played up on Saturday and the quad played up on Sunday.
Still had fun.
Would be good if we could get a good turnout of quads at Gladstone sometime. Its a good fun track. _________________ Mic

It may pay to check with them to make sure they have your noms, Dingo. I was speaking with the Race Secretary yesterday and as at yesterday there was only the 8 noms. They gave me the names and there were none from Moranbah nominated.
It will be really disappointing if the CQ quad riders don't support this series. We have our foot in the door - the rest is up to us. If we don't get numbers to events - clubs will not even consider putting in a quad class in the future.
I know not everyone works Monday to Friday, or has every weekend off but surely there are more than the 8 already nominated that are available to support this series. |

Gday Kel. I'm sure day lic. wouldn't be a problem. Ring Lana on 4987 4003 or 0407 038 762 and she will able to answer your questions.
I've heard a "rumour" from a generally reliable source that if enough ladies turn up they will run a seperate class.
Would be nice to catch up with the postman. How have youse been?? _________________ 10 LTR 555 Dingo

Sorry Kel, didn't realise you didn't know it was a 2 day event. If my info is correct we will have including yourself 5 women. Surely if only 4 fellas turned up at the O to O meeting and got a run we can start pushing for a seperate womens class. If it was a definate Kay would have a run as well so that would be 6 (she's still a bit to nervous on the Suzuki to run with the fellas). Of course the more positive feedback we can generate the better and keep the people who keep saying it can't be done out of the arguement. _________________ 10 LTR 555 Dingo

I was told by Lana that if we had 6 women, it would be run as a seperate class, And i still rekon even if this dosen't happen for this particular race, it sure does look good for women in quad racing, and maybe we might be considered for a seperate class in other events. We have raced at other events before where women on 2 wheelers were allowed to race with only 4 in there class so heres hoping and i am sure there are a few more women in Kay's situation where they would rather get more comfortable on a track with just women racing. Fingers crossed anyway ..... |

Hi guys n girls, sorry 2 hear only 4 quads at 0 2 0, we' re all guilty down here of not going as we'd originally been told no quads, by the time we found out was quads other plans had been made, meaning at least 5 quads from this neck of the woods a no show. Ufortunately can't make emerald, but should c u all at gum valley, bundy, roma and some others.Believe it or not yellow is the colour of almost all of them, one a 2 wheel convert, one a red convert, maybe even a black one and 2 new 2 the game. Does'nt that sound exciting _________________ JUST DOIN IT |

If we have the 8 noms dillon66 spoke of, now 6 from Moranbah and Mr & Mrs Postie....if I can add up that's 16 quads.. Go Central Queensland _________________ 10 LTR 555 Dingo

A womens only quad class – that sounds great!
However, I think we need to realise there is a quad class in the supps that we can enter. It is the Senior Quad Class. This class does NOT say “Senior Mens Quad”. This class is open to all Quad riders over the age of 16 years.
I thought 2009 was all about us getting quads included and accepted into the racing scene in our area. If it is numbers we need to do this, I am prepared to line up to help out. This does not mean I have to leave the start line when the rest of them do, if I don’t feel confident enough.
As you will notice in the Supps for the CH MX Series, 6 riders constitutes a class. This does not mean that if we get 6 ladies nominated they HAVE to add a class for us. If we were to get our 6 plus women (at each of the CH MX rounds) for 2009, we could then approach the CH MX Organising Committee to include a womens’ only quad class for 2010.
I am the first to admit it is daunting riding with the boys, however if this is what is needed to get a quad class off the ground, that’s what we need to do.
If we can get enough Quads to support the CH MX Series for 2009, who knows maybe the CQ MX Organising Committee will reconsider our request to be included in their series for 2010 also.

Doesn't mean they have to but they said they WOULD which is the only reason I mentioned it. Didn't realise that little comment would start a debate. _________________ 10 LTR 555 Dingo
