Hi all,

This is my first post on this forum (my main love to date has been classic rallying) so thought I'd first say g'day.

I'm looking for a classic quad, something late 80's to go with my '86 XT600 Tenere as a classic pair for outback trial/safari competition. Banshee or bigger. If there's a Quadzilla out there I'm game (mad, either or). Any condition really, but must be able to be restored. Not looking for a fully restored beast but will consider anything if priced right.

Thanks for listening.

banshee is your better option, plenty of them around, after market parts are available from many suppliers and replacement parts as also easily obtained.

I agree, would also compliment the Tenere better. On top of that, probably better life expectancy too!! Smile

2009 - not quite a classic one, but a nice example indeed. I have the contacts to rebuild one and for what I want to do (in my experience) it's best to know the machine inside out yourself - best way to do that is to build it yourself. Thanks for the reply all the same.

I want to build it up myself so not the sort of $$ your Banshee is, thanks for the PM anyway. It's a tad new too - think more "hey, what's that sticking out of the grass over there?" type of resto project.

Understand (and agree with) comments that it will cost more to build than to buy already done, but if I'm going to the back of Bourke on my own I want to know the beast inside out - literally.

Again, must be a classic. I'm not looking to be at the front of the class, just have some fun.
