Ok then.......
I was only joking about the racers.....
Am I getting in to the middle of things here guys??
Sorry but I don't know about past events.....

the racers in the club shouldnt realy get involved in this debate, its about getting the social side back to where it used to be. The social side used to be huge, and we didnt need the racers to get to rides. we had enough riders and most rides had to capped because there were to many.

And the stump hill thing is crap now, (sausage) has priced himself out of it regardless, to bloody dear, mind crossing over the road had the best riding there anyway, (sausage) used show some great riding over there.

d ick is the owners name and sausage has replaced it Laughing Laughing

Hugh I'm afraid I can't see the logic here. You attend Stump Hill with no knowledge of how many, if any, members would be there, but for Sandfest where numerous deposit fees were paid guaranteeing that people were intending to make the trip, you decide not too grace us with your presence. Knowing full well that there would be no officially recognised steward & consequently no MA sanctioning or licensing of the event. Undoubtedly you expected us all to turn around at the gate & drive the 600km's home.
Exclamation marks are no replacement for common courtesy, a simple phonecall would have sufficed.

As Shayne said, we will be doing the course early next year so we don't have to rely on 'other' people to turn up. The legal fees for a social event aren't too expensive. The more people who support the social events we will plan for next year, the better the social side of the club will run for next year. It's easy to get annoyed with the way things have been but it's not going to benefit ATV riding in Vic. As for the Stump Hill ride, certain committe members knew I would be riding up to Cape York and wouldn't be able to run the event and informed the person who would now be running this event that I had no bookings yet for this event.

Priesty, If I hadn`t attended Stump Hill you could argue that the social riders were let down there as well ,that event was advertised on the QRCV website since the beginning of the year and as had been the custom no deposits or pre bookings had been asked for previously I was aware however that Geoff would not be there because of other commitments he had ,as for the deposits on future events they were only introduced by the committeee as a result of the Stump Hill costs being born by the club, I fail to see what is Illogical about that, as for my non attendance at Sandfest there were work related and personal reasons why I could not make that event, but I did try to make other arrangements prior to Saturday ( which unfortunately could also not be carried out) I DID MAKE MANY PHONE CALLS to try to resolve this, but as you have NEVER in my recollection ever attented a QRCV committee meeting the you would not have heard the apology I made to the committee for this unfortunate course of events, as for the amount of work I have done both on a committee level and a personal level to ensure the continued support of the social side of the QRCV , I have done in spite of a very limited number of people who are financial members of of the club, we as a committeee do this with very little or no support from those riders who complain that events are not as they expect, if you want more action or support why don`t YOU join the committee and DO something instead of failing to follow the logic of my actions ( something you have never sought to have explained or clarified by myself except on this a public forum ) somewhere I do not wish to expose personal information.

I must be missing the point but why dont you just get the same rego yogie has got. I've heard him swear many times that it is completely legal and gains him access to state forests. Maybe he could post up here the forms required and steps to go through to get this rego.

Otherwise i could just send this photo to the rego dept and get them to post the forms required to me..

go and get your self some light machinery pack forms, its about $700 the first year, because of the stamp duty then its only $360 after that, just make sure your CONDITIONS set are folowed to the letter or your gunna get busted.

and there was no need to be silly about it, Going to send my pic to Vicroads... all you had to was ask, that has been the way I've passed it onto other members here before, so now you know. Let me know how you get on. Very Happy

Hugh you bought this up on a public forum, not me. I have no intention of getting drawn into a long winded debate, so I won't.
Discussion ended.

cheers........
Steve.
