Look at the parts side of it. I have owned many brands and crashed every single one due to being very talented, find the one thats cheapest to rebuild. Whatever one you choose you will enjoy it just the same laughing

Roycroft cracked the two lugs off where the rear subfame mounts up under the seat.
He did a multiple end for end flip in a pro race at Mt Gambier and the thing landed pretty hard upside down.

Smitty and Beery are big fellas who do massive jumps and no-one else in Australia has seen this breakage before.

For any quad you'll often see pictures of a bike folded in half or something.
If is from landing upside down, hitting a tree at 100kmh, going off a cliff or getting run over by a train...
it does not mean much about the design.

Infact if your quad is unbreakable, it would be way too heavy to do the job that it should be designed for.

Like has been said, all the 450's are good packages.
They are also all lighter and faster rece bikes.
If you want something heavier - and - stronger get a 400.
It will also require half the maintainence - and - be slower.

Maybe you could look at a Laegers frame, fit alloy front arms and a rotax engine , gotta have the full HRC kit, GYTR exhaust system, get yellow plastics with the wide blue seat, WP brand PDS rear shock (or two if you've chosen the IRS rear end for off road racing) eek

I have just read a very positive article on the new Can-Am DS450-MX-X. (aus ATV action)

It's a little down on power, which can be fixed, but word is the suspension and chassis is first class

I know you can't trust everything you read but I recon there would'nt be many people who ride lots of different bikes like this guy and the others writing for the mag.

They also say in this mag that the 450 kawasaki is too short in the wheelbase which makes it twitchy at high speed. I don't know from personal experience, which is why I've started reading this mag and others so hopefully I can decide which 450 to get when I outgrow my TRX400
