i think the title ATV ACTION says it all. ATV"S come in sport and work vehicle formats for adults and then there's junior quads to consider. i think the mag does a good job in catering for most levels of interest in ATV. if it only covered modified sports quads it would then be only catering for a minority. i have a small sales outlet for ATV's and dirt bikes and i buy as many issues as possible of both the ozzie mag and the American ones and leave them on the counter for customers to peruse, and i'm yet to hear anyone make comparison so i guess it's up there with the best of them

The guys that are involved in the mag are very experienced ATV Riders/racers and probably have around 15 more years riding experience.Its great they have been in the industry for ages ,thats why its good! A get together and start a mag would be your style ,whens it comming out mr sour grapes?

there is nothing wrong with "active critisism"
i agree the mag is top quality, but the content needs to be less entry level.
most of us should know how to change a chain etc, but why not show us how to check valves etc or atv related issues. also, races need to be covered and like others said, modified quads and maybe racer profiles.
also, the state quad bodies should have a small input, this will entice club member to buy the mag to see whats going on in there club and attract new members?

Some one should tell the people involved in the mag about this thread. There is some good info in here for them.
About having more advanced stuff in the mag its true but the sort of info they have seems to be aimed at the people trying to decide whether to get into quads or not. I might be completely wrong but thats how I see it.

i must admit this issue was a bit boring
Does seem to be aimed @ the considering to buy/ just starting out group
But to say that so is this mag,it's only been going 1yr ish..and comes out quarterly now instead of every 6 months .
So it is growing and so is the sport.. so if everyone is patient the book will get better..

Liked the jamie barkla bit sry to hear he got ripped off..(we can still kick there ass ) hate to c nice people getting F%&ked over.

Hate to agree with fourtrax, but the idea of race events-rider profiles is a good idea- would help people reconise ozzie talent,instead of just knowing all the u.s riders...

like the LITTLE posters in the middle - helps make my garage that much better..

And he'll yeah there's alot of modified quads in oz- just check out the pics on this site and previous sites..
if they added race meets in all states- more rider profiles - riding spots
(legal and none legal ) maybe a bigger poster and a few babes on a quad -or even standing near a quad
or how about a section where we can send them action pics -
competitions - -
theres endless possabilities...
Put a $8 - $9 price tag i'm everyone would still buy it

And for the next cover they can have me passed out on my ltr450 semi naked (dont want to out sell the picture mag) with a j.d in hand..

there should be a bit of that sort of stuff in the next mag, (at least the stuff I'm doing for the next one)

Look lets get it straight what ticks me off is when so many people all over australia are spending mega dollars on there quads. No matter what racing there into.
And you open the mag and what do you see stock bikes and farm quads.
This mag at the moment is supporting the minority not the majority.
Im not biest but i do know that at the moment the mags lacking something.
I have bought every issue to date.
I would rather read about modified quads than stock quads.
The mag just started im pritty shaw people would be contacting the mag and wanting to do feature stories on ther quads.
Another point stockton octomber long weekend the biggest turn out at stockton ever.
I know the mag was informed and they didnt show WHY???

And then people like LEN stir the pot and talk rubbish.
I very proud of what i have and what i do with my quad.

Len i dont need to advertise Zak's Business he does what he wants.

Dear Wild Man
If want something in the mag and you think it should be drags and drag Bikes then just request it! Ring the editor and ask if they would be interested in supporting it.Telling them that it is crap and you wouldnt buy it may actually put them off and turn quad people away from supporting your prefered disaplin. Each disaplin is equally important to each person .Besides who do you think pays for the mag to be possible?
Mag sales?To start with probably no ,you have to have support from the Manufacturers and the advertizing supports it .The Manufacturers want coverage of there most popular sellers...Farm Quads ! I will say it again the sport quad market is so minor compared to the Farm Market (Based on Sales). As the Sport Market grows so will the mag in the sport area. Zak's cool and Im sure he is a capable man with his business.No Hard feelings here!
