Hi All,

****** FAMILY / SOCIAL RIDE WEEKEND*********

Want to get the family away for a ride weekend in January 2009 ?

When: Friday 16th - Sunday 18th January 2009 (Staying over Fri and Sat nights)
Where: 90 mins from Sydney TUGALONG Recreation Park (near Mittagong ) www.tugalong.com.au

• 5340 acres
• accommodation
• atv trails
• kids tracks
• camping & fishing
• moto tracks
• hill climbs
• enduro trails
Please let Jo know if you are interested by 21 November so we can get an idea on numbers and then advise re costs. Check out the website for more info about the property and then email me back. Shane & I will be there with our quads and Gem & Jake will be riding their MX bikes so it would be great to get some more friends and kids to join us.

Other news:
• We had a good turn out of quad riders to the Hunter MCC AGM last night which was great to see. Rob Booth, Shane Hardiman and Mick Roycroft have been nominated as the quad sub committee representatives.
• Their role will include liaising with the Hunter Club, rounding up volunteers to help with activities such as flag duties etc etc. So if you have any ideas or things to discuss let one of them know as these three keep in communication with one another on a regular basis. We will also keep our quad riders pizza nights going so we can keep the momentum up and get our East Coast Cup Series and other events off the ground in NSW.
• In case you haven't heard already we have had a win with MC NSW approving junior quad racing. Please be aware the matter is now with Dept of Sport and Rec for their consideration and approval. It has been requested that if we have any queries regarding progress of this matter please direct these to Glen Pickering of the Hunter MC Club rather than contacting MC NSW or Dept of Sport & Rec yourselves to avoid jeopardising the process with MC NSW or Dept of Sport and Rec as it is better to have one line of communication with them for their sake.
• We will re group in the new year once we have confirmation of dates for the series. We are looking at holding a NSW State Titles in conjunction with the Hunter Club probably in June 09 so we will need to get sponsors and volunteers on board and people to share their ideas on how we are going to run it and help out with this event.
As always let your friends know what's going on and invite them along in January.

Don't forget Finke when you are thinking about the dates for the NSW titles.

I gave Hunter all the dates that Trudy Gave me ( Thankyou) and told them not to clash with all major events. I believe they have put it down for 27th and 28th June. Hopefully Juniors will be all sorted by then.

Great for the sport, but its hurtin the back pocket. I have 2 boys that are going to race next year and we are in the process of sorting out their rides. Hopefully we can get it all done by Canberra !!! laughing laughing
