As for the geometry of quads. you need to get a tape measure and get some benchmarks from a local race quad builder ( pete W might help us there) the Yammie and Honda and ltr are way ahead. Polaris and KTM have both stuffed up their rear shock . The Can am front end is totally wrong this is why they have added all the adjustments. Ktm is a little guilty in their front end is to flat. Polaris shock is the reason why their air box is the worst ever seen on a quad but the Ktm is the best Airbox.

Sorry to get back on topic here guys cos I can see your all having a great time being complete "profanity removed" wits about this.

The DS450 is the closest thing in modern times to match the great geometry of the 250R. The Yam and Suzuki don't even come close in standard trim as far as I'm concerned. The Honda 450 is similar but still out of the park as far as the front end goes although I do like the Honda's rear setup better than most of the others.

Funnily enough KTM make their front ends adjustable too(does this mean they got it wrong or are just allowing for some individual setup) and it is a pity about the rear shock on the XC model but I'll be interested to see the difference with the WP shocks on the SX...

What about all the aftermarket A Arm manufacturers, should they all be making set geometry a arms? or do you want them adjustable so you can set them up for you specifically.

Back to reality though and what the point really is, that you can race these things out of the box with out having to spend all the money on shocks and arms, try doing that 3 years ago...

Completely caused by the design of the aftermarket front end which was rectified (mostly) in their next version of A Arms.
