Yeah, where can I get a fake ID that says Im 17 instead of 39!! Laughing Laughing

Like many trade related industries the lack of apprenticeships is going to bite us on the butt eventually. I guess our "backyard" mechanic ability is quite high in some cases, wont mention names in case I miss someone and they are insulted.

But if we want to grow an industry we need to have staff on the ground ready to support that.

Hope all shops, including our backyard guys can throw the dogs a bone and get a person in, even during school holidays, even if its just to tidy shop and learn tools and part names that way.

I hope any kids out there aspiring to the profession either directly in quads indirectly in the motor or even mechanical industry are getting their names and faces to employers for even just free work experience periods for a reference or if your a good worker who do you think the employer is going to call when they ar in a pinch?

Best of luck Luke, employers and potential employees.

If you let me have control of the radio (both in the shop and the van ) I might just forge a birth certificate and apply, this apprenticship thing sounds promising????.

I believe I might just be able to muster the academic level and maturity of a 14 year old and I'll be interested in applying next year if you can hold the job 12 months for me.
