| rylz11 for every one who didnt know is competing in the paralympics in the wheelchair rugby so far they have one every game and tonight are playing canada get behind these guys they are unbelievable my best mate is also in the team ryan scott number 11 ryley is number 3 they call him batt he is the worlds number 1 ranked player you have to see this sport big hits people getting slammed out of there chairs its on abc 2 the digital channel at around 7--730 aest so everyone support these legends you wont be dissapointed |

I happened to see one of their games the other night and it was really entertaining. They get right into it!! (Any olympians "get right into it" but these guys are really bashing chairs etc). I watch very little TV but stumbled across this game and it got me in.
Batt really stood out - was just about winning by himself - was all over the place during every play and was defending and scoring flat out.
Pass on my congratulations if you can! |

well they won last night talk about edge of seat man my heart was going flat stick the game went into overtime and they managed to get a turn over and score they won by one point so are in the gold medal game tonight against usa .
the bummer is the basketball is on at the same time so im not sure if it will be on live..
it was ten years ago this year that my mate had his accicent when we were sixteen we played for the same footy side and that season we went through un defeated to win the grand final so it only seems fitting for them to do the same ..
go the stealers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

how exciting, congratulations to him. The moves they do are just amazing, the blocking and defence, and using their wheels to put the brakes on others so they cant move.
We are more into the basketball, Ben Ettridge has coached my daughter at school in Yr 8 and taken all the Basketball kids on a yearly trip up to train with some of the wheelies. After just a few hours they come back with blistered hands and sore muscles they never knew they had, and a real appreciation of just how hard it is to play in a wheelchair.
Sim reckons she probably has it easier running.
Found it more exciting watching the wheelies than the other ones, was brilliant.
Did you see all the bruises? and they say, broken fingers are a given at that level ...
Sim has suffered 2 broken fingers and a broken wrist in 5 weeks playing basketball.... and they say Motocross is dangerous. She wants to write on her cast "did it doin basketball not Motocross"

First time I'd watched a game of wheelchair rugby, far out!!
These guys are mental, but its great to have the aussies show the Yanks that rugby is the game to play. Although I do quite like gridiron.
Well done to anyone who has the drive and determination to not let a brick wall be something they cant overcome.

sorry for the late reply , unfortunately they couldnt topple the septic tanks so came home with a silver medal,, its an amazing resul they have out done countries that have nearly six times the amount of players nationaly to choose from so as far as i and my mate in the team are cocerened they have brought home a medal they were undermannned to win.
unfortunately they do not do a mvp for the olympics other wise it would have been a good bet on riley batt what a champion , mate if you read this well done you are a super star cant wait to get to the east coast to meet you again ,,legend this bloke really is . |
