OK RAT Ill show you all some pictures.... Razz lol
this is what it looked like when we decided it needed a complete teardown.

And this is what it looks like today. Just waiting on some sprockets and some parts to get machined down to fit the bigger heim joints.

And these are my H-Bomb, bombsquad graphics. Very Happy

And DC666 im pretty shure you can get most bearings from a bearing shop for half the price of genuine parts. Very Happy
You might need me off the bike for more than 10 weeks to hand my arse to me. Razz lol

nah just on acid running through fields of poppies naked Laughing Razz

sicmic,

about time we seen some pics of the progress..
that frame looks "profanity removed" Evil or Very Mad -who powdercoated that ,i'd take it back:lol: Laughing
mine should be done by wednesday, how's thius man
I dropped it off friday morning to be blasted picked it up that arvo Razz
almost as quick as yours Laughing Laughing Evil or Very Mad

They use a needle bearing which has no inner case, rolling pin type bearings instead of your ordinary round ones, there double sealed..
Thats why the a-arms don't have nipples to grease them..

tried evry bearing shop in qld..
80% of NEEDLE bearings for motorbikes are spacificaly made for that bike.. i'm gonna try and re-use the old ones..
otherwise i need
8x a-arm bearing @ $33.95ea (only broke 1 taking em out)
4 x swing arm bearings @ $25.00 ( broke my vice trying to remove them)
so might leave em in while it get p/c and have to replace them..

total of $371.60 au for 12 F*#kin bearings (3 weeks wait)

DC666 you must have walked in to the sandblasters with a gun for it to happen that quikly. HAHA Razz

The electrical problem is solved. It had a dodgy start button thats why it would not do anything when you push the button. I put the stock one back on so I can start it and it fires first push of the button. Wink
Now I just need to ride it. lol Very Happy

Hey Luke.

Thnx for the compliments. Very Happy
The graphics are from www.danacreechracing.com. but I dont know if they are made for Banshee's. You could also E-mail H-Bomb to see if they make a set for a Banshee but im not shure.
The Banshee in the background is my Dads, its not another project it was just getting worked on at the time. Its still kickin.... not bad for a 1991 model with a fair few original parts, ask a couple of Queenslanders who know my Dad he isnt the easiest rider either. Razz Very Happy

hey mick
i am sure you can get them for the banshee cos when i bought my copy of huevos8 it came with a little catalog of bomb squad merchandise that said they make it for banshees so i will try and order one Cool

i also have a banshee project pending finding a rolling frame it will have
*all black plastics with h bomb graphics
*RZ350 powervalve motor with pro circuit pipes ,carbon reeds, jetted RZ350 carbs
*bling star bumper, jmc racing nerfs, ims foot pegs, pro taper bars, douglas red label rims-paddles-holeshots-super motard tyres,k&n filter, jmc steering damper, that is all i can think of now

like i said it all depends if i can find a rolling banshee frame that just needs a motor--do you know any one that has one i will pay upto 1500 for a one

cheers luke

I dont know of anyone sorry. Have you gotten a price on a new stck frame from yamaha. Might cost a little more but you know what your gettin is in the best condition it wil ever be. As for the rolling part you could just go straight to wider a arms with some aftermarket shocks. Very Happy
