A huge thankyou to those guys that turned up for this weekends working bee at my place including Andy who made a cameo appearance after getting lost. Yogie, Barb, Glen, and Steve, as the GLW said on Sunday, you guys have "life membership" and can use the block anytime you like. If it was up to me I would cut each of you your own key to the place. A big thankyou to my in-laws for driving all the way from Shepparton with additional tools and my wife Michelle for making sure we were all fed and watered during the day. Despite the lack of resources and equipment and a piss poor set of instructions, we managed to all but finish the frame work and attach a good portion of the cladding. Thank you all so much.
Now for the rest of you......
Considering the number of posts relating to the lack of legal riding places in this state, the turn out for this weekend was piss poor. Even with the offer of free food and drink for all those attending, we managed to get just the four forum members willing to commit their time.... and one of those members had to drive from Wangaratta!!!. My wife and I bought this property for the sole purpose of having somewhere to not only ride our own machines, but to develop it to share with other riders. If we can't get people to help us do something that will ultimately benefit a large number of you, where is the incentive to further develop the property. We may as well set the place up to suit ourselves and leave the rest of you to take your chances with the authorities out on the trail. Hey Foss, If you were in this state you would be GOD. We need more people like yourself to help with the lack of places to ride. In nsw, request of help(and i would beat my quad) you would recieve 50+ male and females willing to help out. It amazes me to hear the lack of help for you guys. Next Time i will catch a plane, drive a car or telaport my myself to your aid ( as long as you buy a property in NSW lol).
Hope all works out in the end.
Thanx

I guess it's easier to sit back and complain and hope that somebody else will do all the work for you than to get off your butt and do something yourself these days COTTO. Thanks for the offer of help anyway, we may need to look further afield next time I think if this is the level of support we can expect from the Vic riders. _________________ I'm not suffering from insanity, I'm enjoying it!!! |

sorry Aaron, I'll try to get up for the next one, but it's been a bit of challenge for spare weekends this year, I seem to be either working or at a race somewhere, should be more reasonable over the next couple of months as we only have a few more races left on the Vic Calendar. _________________
