Hey FEARINF13, you coming to WA for the Nat's? I assume you will be.
If you need help with a website (and possibly editing software), I would be happy to catch up and help out.

Is this the movie that 47 industries did travelling around WA. I did an enduro that you came out for a while. Where can I get a copy?

The footage from the Indee 500 Enduro will be in the next movie (Thumbpump 2) which will be released late next year. That was one hell of a race. If anyone is looking for a trial run just before Finke, get up to Indee Station next year.

Hey Fearinf13, I assume you have organised your media pass so you can get out onto the track at AJS to shoot? Also, what editing software are you planning to use to edit your movie, and what cameras do you generally shoot with?

Mick, my mate informs me he's got vegus with heaps of plug in's so he's spent over $25,000 on his technical mesmoriser!! he say's it should come out better than what's recorded on the camera so when compressed 2 dvd it should come out slightly better quality than what i'v recorded, i'm using a digital camera with high resolution on mini dv tapes, not as elaberate as your's but am very impressed at quality i'm seeing from it, it only run's thru IEEE cable (firewire), aparently it's the best means of getting the quality out of the camera, my mate say's that because it's digital it's easier 2 create individual files, but how's this 4 freaky, i'm getting better quality out of my head-cam thru using a cheap s**t camera than my good one, it baffels me! and that's about, ur camera uses analog does it, how easy are them things 2 work with editing wise, they were just out of my price range when went looking at buying a camera, and lucky u told me about needing 2 sign up 4 media 4 WA cheers once again!!

Hey! child of darkness!! i reak'n we'd b able 2 get some footage off of u'r camera,,, oh sorry, phone if u'v got some decent footage u want 2 share with us! if u'r going 2 Reedy i'll show u where we were jumping off a bank there on a mini pushie off a car , into lantarna in the dark, that's if u havn't heard about it already from Jaden, it hurt but was wicked fun!! a fella with a camera phone got better footage than i did on my camera, so it look's like we'll have 2 do it all again!? so i know what u mean when u say it's got good quality and clarity!

Could u give us a rough idea of cost, a ball park figure that is, i know it's probably pretty hard 2 do this but as usual need video footage conections etc, i'll look at some of ur work and see what happens from there, i might even go thru u yet, i'm prity fussy thou but not that hard 2 work with, thank's! i'm puting a subject up u might want 2 look at about some filming just after Reedy, have a look and see if u interested?

Most of our footage is captured on one of our HDV high definition Digital cameras, but we have a 3CCD as well, for getting in close and better colour, plus a standard digital camcorder for the helmetcam. HDV isn't everything though. Most people's TV's are not even HD compatible yet, so it is a bit of overkill. Just so long as it is 16:9 (wide screen). Helmet cam is still the poorest res we capture, as the capture camera's are digital, but you can only buy analogue helmet cam's. Still, a 620 lines analogue helmet cam still gives you a reasonable picture once it is edited to 16:9. I'm keen to see your end result. The more competition we have, the further we will push each other, but it's good that we both have the same objective, to promote the sport. Anything I can do to help, just ask.
Look forward to meeting you at AJS.

I was asked to organise one, but I had Blingstar backing it, and when they banned the Blingstar bumpers...well, the rest is history. No licensing issues at all.
Mick@47
P.S. Thumb wrestling is all good and well, but I'm more of a Carona skulling competition man myself.

What a mess; the west aussies seem to be making up the rules as they go along.....no way I will be attending. If you make the trip there is still no guarantee you will be able to race.

I'm on record stating that this will be the first title decided by the ref not on the track.

I wouldn't go that far Linc, the titles will still be decided on the track. Sure, the Blingstar thing is a pain in the arse, but let's not loose sight of the big picture here. It will still be one hell of an event and the best riders in the country all have an opportunity of taking out the national title, across all classes. I will still be there with bells on.

we got another sponsor for the expression session,,, RCR industries
.
but an expression session is freestyle in M.A.'s language
not on the M.A.permit,,, C.O.C would shite cann-it if he was doin his job right at an australian championship event
is there any quad riders with their supercross / freestyle license in Oz
don't think so.. Sad

It is only classified as freestyle if the ramp is man made. This is why we came up with the idea in the first place. You are right though, you do need supercross accreditation then freestyle accreditation if you want to jump a man made ramp under an MA permit, and it would need to be a seperate permit. The permit was not a problem in this case because we were planning on using one of the existing table-tops on the track, therefore, same permit, not freestyle. The COC may have had an issue with it on the day, but the GCR's would have shown him that it was OK.
