Another great event run by TERC.
The track got a little bit dusty and bumpy as it would with about 300 bikes racing over 2 days on it.
A big thanks to the lap scorers for all the work they did.
Also a big thanks to Besser Engineering for sponsoring the quad grasstrack series for 2008.
Hope to see the same amount of quads at Elliot grasstrack event.

i thought it was a "profanity removed" track that should of been stopped on the second day. Then there might not be some one lead in hospital with a broken back. _________________ ride it hard or go home |

| Yeah i headed down there for a look on the sunday. Wow i was impressed. What a great track. I will be racing next year. Couldnt make it to race as work commitments and not enough sleep. Who actually won the 2 days in the quads. One of the races i seen a modified banshee win easy. And a stock standard 08 banshee 3rd. |

The accident with Alex was a first corner incedent that was not a result of the dust as this sort of stuff has happened before on a wet track. Alex received the injury from the bike hitting him. He ended up with two crushed vertabrae and one fractured in his neck, a week in hospital and then a back brace. I have raced with this club for 5 years at close to 60 events and this is the worst accident we have had. I am an Expert rider and also one of the commitee members who runs these events and if you think you know how to run these events more safely you are more than welcome to come and run them. The more help the better. It is a most unfortunate accident and thats all. |
