Mikey started "riding" a 3 wheeler electric bike at 2 (was his birthday present). He then out grew that, and we decided to get him a quad. |
We just had half year retail sales in Australia where the discount toys a budle to get you to layby them for Christmas. We got a electric quad for the lil bloke who will be 21 months by then or if we dont think its just right then we'll give it to him when he turns 2 in March.
I used to coach some hockey so Ive got some cones and a nice synthetic pitch just round the block so riding training coming up!
The devestating thing is he's now got a quad (but not possession I guess) and I havent except for bum farm units out at family and friends places.
Since it doesnt come with a kill switch I dont know, maybe I'll use the .44Mag kill switch! _________________ www.asho.com.au for your shooting and outdoor needs

Thanks for the advice guy's, looks like we will get that Suzuki for them may have a Honda 90cc lined as well so if the budget is good at the time will get both. Both bikes will come with helmets that are in near new condition (no damage never been in a stack) , what other riding gear would be advisable.

G'Day Whitey,
Nice choice there mate!! Hope to see you on the track soon!!
Kit ... now there is a question. I am not sure if there are rules etc there, but pure common sense and a love for your kits should prevail here. To be honest, the more the better!
A must:
Helmet
Goggles
Gloves
At least:
Jeans
Long sleeved jersey
If Possible:
Riding pants
Riding shirt
Roots guard
Boots
(in that order)
Optional:
Knee guards
Elbow guards
Neck brace
Boots
If possible, and money permitting, get as much as you can. Of cause as they get more brave and their talent grows, they will need more. So it is more of a delayed purchase rather than an option
I hope that helps a little, and you and the "little" ones have many many safe happy ridging time!! Remember ... keep it on all-fours!! _________________ Mikey got 3rd in the Nationals!!

| Whitey wrote: | This question has probalby been asked a thousand times, since getting the Grizzly the kids want a quad of their own. My daughter is 9 and the little fella 6 this year. We are debating as to weather we get them a 90 and a 50 cc chinese quad to start with or get them one decent Jap Quad first up between them. What have other people done in this situation and what Jap kid quads would you recommend as the little fella is showing alot of interest and may look at racing eventually. Any comments will be appreciated.

Bit late with this one go jap 100% i bought my boy 110cc chinese quad the engine is great but but bolts all over the quad come loose very easy
Things seem to break very easy or fall off the only bonus is its cheap to replace parts
Ishould have bought him a honda 90.....might still do (you pay for what you get ) _________________ 08 Honda TRX 700 XX |
