Where is the track at Charters Towers? Have just seen that they are letting quads ride on the Saturday nite. What is the track like? Does anyone know why we can't ride Sunday - are they scared we will show them up

The track is on the Townsville side of Charters Towers about 5 minutes from town. They have plenty of room to camp with nice hot showers if you are planning on camping.
The track is a tight supercross style with lots of challenges for a quad.
As for them not letting us ride on Sunday I don't know what their logic is. The natural terrain would be awesome on a quad
Hope to catch up with you there.

Yes we are running Saturday night only. They are onlty letting 7 quads run because thats all we can fit on the start gates and they dont have time for another heat.

| Yeah fellow quad riders they will only let us run with 7 quads. Anthony from charters towers has been trying to get us more heats on saturday nite and also get to ride sunday, but because of the size of the race meeting as the pull a few hundred riders there wasnt enough time to run a heat of quads both days. The only reason they are letting quads ride saturday night is they got rid of the shoot outs and gave us ago. We raced the weekend years ago but where showen the door as we didnt have enough quads to race back then. Another reason was that "quads ruin the track" and the stewards didnt like quads. But the good news is that anthony has talked to the club and they will let us run on club days on both tracks if we show up in numbers. They said if we show up with numbers on club days we will most probably get a go next year at the king of the goldfields. So hopefully we can change the clubs mind and hopefully get another venue to race at. Not promising anything though. |

Clermont will be there in force with 4 riders having been confirmed as entries accepted (Myles, myself, Jammin, Troy). We also have Andrew on the waiting list.

| I just rang the club and talked to raylea who takes all the nominations. 8 quad riders have been excepted to race on saturday night. These riders are myles, brooksy, myself, big nuts elfy, anthony, sic mic, jamian, and troy. I tried again to get us another heat of quads but it wasnt up to her, so we just have to be happy we are getting a ride. I would say we are starting in front of the gates again as we usaully do. Its gonna be hard to pass as it is a tight track. So see yous all out there. |

| yeah it was a good night berfore 4 of us dnf. hopefully we all heal up n fix our bikes before clermont. Everyone i talked to on sunday said it was good to watch and couldnt see y we couldnt run on sunday, so hopefully we can get out next year. |
