| Is the QQRA looking at getting their own home track/riding area? There is a LOT of chatter in the VIC area of oz atv regarding the ways and means of doing this.Is this on the cards in QLD?? I only bring this up as there is constant requests for "where can i ride?" I know ,as i am one.If we have rec rego can we ride in state forests etc?? Am i dreaming or am i wasting the end of my finger typing this?gazman |

gazman, you can rec register your quad for roughly $130/year. To ride in a state forest you need a permit to traverse which is free and if you plan to camp you need a permit to camp which cost 3 of us $4 for 3 nights in easter 07 in the Mia Mia state forest (outside of Mackay) _________________ 10 LTR 555 Dingo

Not exactly sure gazman, I have only obtained the National Parks permits and not the rego, cause I've never ever ever ridden my quad anywhere illegal . I did see a Qld limited use plate on a bike in the 4wd section of this forum. http://www.ozatv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6519&start=25
If you pm Rossco (brisbane) on this forum he should be able to help you out with more rego info and possibly some closer riding areas _________________ 10 LTR 555 Dingo

hey gazman about the track thing ,i ts a bit hard to get a track just for the qqra because of lack of use it would get... because quad riders in qld r so spread out throughout the state it wouldnt helpin to many people out by buildin a track in one location....that is y we just use other club tracks that way we all can get some ride time without the big km _________________ TRESPASSERS WILL BE SHOT....SURVIVERS WILL BE SHOT AGAIN..

| I guess you r right.it was just a thought to have a permanent facility that we could use like the bike mx clubs have. but no one in the brisbane area replied ,so i guess they are not interested.looks like i am wasting my time here, i should have spoke to qqra directly.thanks for the response ACE209.But dingo555 where and how did you get a permit to ride in a national park? or can we ride in state forests with condo reg? |

I got ours through the local courthouse (Moranbah is a small town so we have a goverment agency instead of all the individual departments) It is called a "permit to traverse" and basically it is required by anybody who moves inside a national park, state forrest: hikers, 4wds, 2 wheelers and quads _________________ 10 LTR 555 Dingo
