Guys, finally back in Melbourne for good, raptor in tow..yay!!! Will hopefully be up at the block this weekend to dig the latrine and will post pics if anything has changed. The shed is due to be completed in a couple of weeks and am working on the brother to haul it there for me. Will need a posse of volunteers to erect it though. Still have no defined loops set out on the property as yet.

Mate ya diggin a pit toilet?? Bags not being the last one in the hole?? Laughing Laughing

Hey I told ya I was on the pension and available therefore weekdays most of the time (I apparently have to spend some time with wife & Jnr but I cant work out the contracted hours)

Did have a wee bounce on my meds last week and still recovering so Im only awake about 4 hours a day atm but you say you need it and I'll give it what I got.

Besides remember I have done some plant payout type work at school if thats handy for you in and terms or may be some other things that arent so direct as lifting the shovel.

Only question is in 2000 years time, will they unearth the Fossil!!

So is it actually gunna be a pit toilet foss?

When I went on a trip to the Kimberleys there was a range of pit toilets.

We used to call them all Kharzi's

The Parks and Wildlife had these wondereco jobbies that were flash as Michael Jackson but one of the private Parks had a toilet of death such as became known as "The Kami Karzi!!"

It was the door to hell!!

Out at the block today to check out the slab and dig the poo pit. There has been a heap of rain out that way and she was pretty skatey riding especially out the back, but no slushy bogholes sighted as yet. Looking forward to spending a couple of days there when the shed arrives. Only problem is that I now have a very large pile of dirt left over from the slab excavation and no idea what I can use it for. Well no ideas that are "jumping" out at me anyway laughing ...does anyone own a bobcat???

All finished ready for the shed

I hope this is deep enough (my brother is 6" 11")

Not quite where we wanted it but its too late now

Unfortunately the camera battery died and I couldn't get any riding pics. Sad

LOL.....Actually the wife's "mass" has greatly reduced over the past couple of months and is looking quite good. The slab is 100mm thick with 6mm mesh re-enforcement. I'm sure it will be heavy enough to even support Yogie and the additional weight of his "adornments"

Last I know for 25T bearing load 300mm reinforced slab, but privately your choice up to insurance time I guess. No idea of cost. Sorry.

The shed will be 9m x 9m overall, with 9m x 6m of living space and 3m x 9m of verandah. The plan is to build additional shelter once we are established, and if needed. I have a 3m x 3m garden shed ready to erect for storage and am in the process of having the thunderbox and generator cover fabricated.

G'day Fossil Im a newby and have heard Yogie speak briefly about your property, sound really cool. I'm keen to check it out myself one day so if you have a working bee coming up soon give me a yell, will be happy to lend a hand for a good cause.

I am waiting for the shed fabrication to be finished. Once I have that date I will post a working bee date asking for people to help erect it. I already have my brother organised to ship the shed onto the block and have a generator and tools ready to go. Just need to organise the ice, beer, and meat for the day. Will keep you posted.

Hey Lugz, the property is about 20 mins from Avoca, about 1 hour north west of Ballarat. There is not much left to do at the moment until the shed goes up but ride. You're welcome to do that anytime.
