A few riders have got together and formed a new QLD ATV club and have managed to do the impossible and get approval to run group ATV rides in a few state forests in the South East QLD region.
Conditions are riders must be a member of the club and must hold a current drivers license and ATVs must have current conditional rego complying with relevant transport regulations.
Council and Police approval has also been obtained to use secondary gazetted roads to link all of the riding areas together.
The club is headed up by none other than the ATV legend Geoff Udy from Geoff Udy Can-Am Gatton.
We've been able to source our own insurance to run the rides but have got to come up with $4,500.
Any sponsors, dontations, ideas, etc that might help us to pay the insurance and get these rides happening would be most appreciated?

Hi robo,
I am the secretary of the Qld Quad Rides Assoc and we have also done something similar to you and we have the insurance issues sorted. What we do need is someone to push it for us. If your interested give me a call.

Great news guys and well done. This will be a goer for sure but have a tight rein on the (really nice person) element that might try and sneek in but I'm sure you all ready have that under control. Now if every other state looks at this and then we all ca.... yes Virgina there is a santa clause in Victoria.
Again good effort... _________________ 2005 KFX700

As yogie said "well done" & because its legal u know u wont have police etc breathing down your necks when u go out. Sadly in victoria this hasnt happened & may not happen. The one thing i hate about riding my quad is im always looking over my shoulder to see if police or rangers r follow/chasing me, mind u this has only happened a few times & as a result i now go alot further out from my normal riding spots just so i can enjoy my riding & not have to worry about copping a huge fine. Yogie being the wise man he is also brings up the good point about the "(really nice person)" factor & that people who dont stick to the guidelines will surley screw things up for your club & all your hard work will go to waste.
Good luck with & safe riding _________________ 04 TRX 450r

Jaden,
Are you an MA affiliated club and is this where you are sourcing your insurance from?

yes we are the only affiliated quad club in qld.
we have had people in the past want to get the 'bush' side
of things up and running, but when it comes to the crunch they were
just talkers. Like i said, if you want to discuss it further i am more than
happy to let you know where we stand and what we have organised so far.

Jaden,
Thanks for the offer, but I will have to decline as your club is associated with MA.
I had previously spent time inside the MA monster.
Unfortunately I can print no more about this due to further fears of litigation.
Best of luck to your club.
