Hi Rossco
I would love to do the cape ride one day , it looks like a great ride.
I mostly ride with other groups on the weekends and also sometimes by myself on overnight rides

Hey Grizzly have you been to ATV/TRAILBIKE TERRITORY Mate that place is fantastic. We should all meet up in the new year for a ride It would tend to be a half way point It's about a 5Hr trip from brissy. How long would it be from Vic I'm assuming your're from there As for the cape it's a little out of my price range at the moment That's why I think I'll do Jandowae next year, it'll take me 12 months to save up enough to make it with the way fuel prices are going |

I feel I can answer this one... We average about 8 of us, and this time of the year we try and get out at least every fortnight for a day ride but we camp out at a minum of once a month. _________________ 2005 KFX700

Mate I think why have this huge investment looking real good parked in the shed, So when it rains make mud. The GLW wants to go as much as me which is a bonus. So we travel about an hour or two to our main camping spots and the day rides is about 45 mins from our front door So mate find the time.
My quad will never be the one for sale with only 2 tanks of fuel through it, I'm on about 150 hours up on the 700 _________________ 2005 KFX700

Im working on it Rossco, Just trying to decide what to put in the next container...just looked at a Polaris razr locally for $35k , comes with all the tricks etc .i told them i might as well just go by me a new 4x4 car for that money. LOL
Local BRP dealer has offered trial on their 800 renegade when im ready.
Cant decide what brand to go with .
Was talking to Andrew form Austraco , he's running a renegade with some serious hopups ...but even they have their short comings ..... _________________ It's time too ride !!!!!!! |

Hey Pro all I can say is GO THE GADE Mate you will not be dissapointed. I don't what the suspension set-up is like, but if it's anything like the Outty it'll float over anything in it's path |

Hi Rossco.......My wife & I have just got back from our first ride on our new Grizzly 700's, we both loved every second of it.
We prefer the Trail riding rather than the speed, Don't get me wrong I love to let rip every now and again but it is the tricky trails that does it for me.
Hoping to go and do an overnighter soon. Just love to travel.
I will post a pic of our first day ride if someone could tell me how. |

Hey ATB this sounds like it was a good trip You guy's and I, and I suppose the rest of us that hit this section of the forum, share the same style of riding. In regard to the photos I think photobucket.com would be the best way to bring them up, unless someone has an easier way & if they no pls let me no Bring on the photos |

I just got back from the Cape York tour last week.
about 26 of the 40 odd quads were Can-Am's.
In 2800kms, Renegade and Outlander 800's excelled accross the board.
It's hard to get a quad that can do everything the best.
But the big Can-Am's will...
Top speed nearly equals a piped Raptor 700 or LTR450 at about 125kmh.
Beach drags always first off the line.
Will push through about 1 metre of water without problems.
Renegade can be jumped about 6ft high at any speed.
Comfy cruising on 110kmh all day, and easy to ride.
Also tow started a Landcruiser with trailer.
It depends on what you want to do.... _________________ Can-Am X Team
