The shiny stuff is just reflection off the water,it was a beaut arvo and i snuck up to within about 30 feet of this pair. They had a drink and moved on without knowing i was there.Ther was a fairly big mob comeing in in groups for a drink. The whole time the dominant buck kept an eye out,but he didn't know i was there either.

Come riding Smitty, you know you want to.

I should be down again on the 21st of this month for a week and will be riding/working at the block on the 23rd and 29th if anybody is interested in coming out for a squirt. PM me for directions.

The GLW has been there over the last couple of days planting trees and reckons it has got quite a bit of rain. Will be there myself next week doing a bit of work and checking out the conditions. Bring on the mud I say.

Probably looking at a cross country type circuit as this will suit the terrain of the property. There are a number of steep gullies and hills and natural objects including a dry rock-based river bed that runs right across the lower half. There are also plenty of places where getting air won't be a problem. At this stage I have only been there a couple of times so haven't had much of a chance to put any thought into layout as yet.

Not quite big enough for thumb pump..perhaps thumb "stitch" or thumb "slight twinge" might be more appropriate. laughing laughing

Thanks Foss for your extreme generosity, willing to help in any way I can.

I have a an engineering/corporate background as well as being an old farm boy.

have done a course in Plant layout that can be overlaid to your peice of land if you'd like to sit down and draw out a plan or two. Or draw up a strategy document for your plans.

Anything to help brother.

Hey Foss it's plenty big enough for a Thumb Pump type race it just means that it's would be more of a GNCC style of event. Tight and technical

I'm with you Smitty, how much space do we really need to hold an event of the cross country/enduro nature.
Cheers Deano

Deno I have set up plenty of 3hr enduros down here for over 120 dirt bikes on as little as 80 acres. Lap times were short about 8 mins but nobody was complaining the shorter the loop the harder you make it

Guys, finally back in Melbourne for good, raptor in tow..yay!!! Will hopefully be up at the block this weekend to dig the latrine and will post pics if anything has changed. The shed is due to be completed in a couple of weeks and am working on the brother to haul it there for me. Will need a posse of volunteers to erect it though. Still have no defined loops set out on the property as yet.
