| We didnt get to ride until 4pm due to transponders breaking down delaying prologue for those people unfortunate to ride two wheelers, pour old quads were pushed aside and forgotten about, didnt help when only 6 of us turned up ,when ended up getting 1.5 hours of great riding , we all had fun, definately back next year, get behind it quad riders , could be a great event.............. |

Yeah very dismall showing by the Quad fraternity, 7 entries 6 starters, shown very little concern by organisers to get us underway , we could have run our entire event while they worked on the transponder problems as we were not using them and the track remained unused for 3hrs, we only got a start late and ran approx 1.5 hrs but it was great once underway congratulations to Ben Hall for the win and to all those who finished, but if QUADS are to be a part of this event in the future there must be a SUBSTNTIAL NUMBER of entries so we have a voice. _________________ we do not stop racing because we grow old

Yeah it wasn't the greatest. You should be 1st next year too so them 2 wheeler bums just can't leave when they finish and then they have to see how good the quads are. In 2 years when I turn 16 if it is still going I will be riding there with ya's but for now I still have to watch. _________________ "If in doubt go flat out"

I'm sorry to hear what happened BUT the Darwin crew traveled to HATTAH last year and rode quads and bikes to make the weekend worth it. The nice lady who runs the show there said that quads will never get on the main track . I suggested that the quads could run for 2 hours before or after the main bike race. If that happened we could get heaps more there.
In the mean time the TP 300 came along which is a great event and with more support get 2 -3 of this events run in Australia. This event will do more for our sport than other because it caters for everyone and I believe to put feather in 47 industries cap it was very well run.
In short make a event worth the drive competitors will race!

Imagine how awesome it would be if everyone that came to TP300 turned up to hattah next year. Then they would have to give quads more time. _________________ "If in doubt go flat out"

Husky, yes unfortunately it`s a bit of the chicken and egg senario, they won`t give us more until we have greater numbers and the quad racers won`t go until it is more worthwhile, but having said that it is up to the QUAD RIDERS to force the change because the NWVMCC have no need to change until there are a greater number of quads at this event, _________________ we do not stop racing because we grow old

I think this is the problem we face every where. For us last year it was 7250km round trip for 1.5 to 2 hours racing. The entry fee was the same as the 2 wheelers... but that is reality in the bike world- unless we have our own events we get treated this way. _________________ Family is most important.... next is our quads |

Without trying to sound stupid... why bother with Hattah, when TP can be a premier quad event, surly that could/should give the enduro jockys there fix. I do know that Hattah is a great yearly event for the two wheeler but do we need their events to get exposure for our own sport??
Maybe 47 ind can invite a few two wheelers to tp and give them 2 hours of track time, and then run the real event... _________________ 2005 KFX700

that's why we went to tp300 instead cause goat rides both 4 and 2 wheels he got value while I got a cold...
we went last year cause we have a list of events and things we want to complete before we die and Hattah is now crossed off.
theres a thought off to start a new time wasting thread... _________________ Family is most important.... next is our quads |

I think some people want to do more than one enduro a year and just love racing. _________________ "If in doubt go flat out"
