Red should have a look at threwad in Vic forum about nedding a place to ride.
Vic roads is currently writing a contract for a 40 week data gathering collecting exerciseon safer off road riding.
If these accidents are mostly two wheel based, if the data shows that 4 wheels are safer than 2 (US data shows they are up to 4 times safer across all age groups).
There is a possibility we may see a relaxation and recognition of quads as the "preffered", alternative or direct, off-road recreation vehicle.
At least thats what I am hoping for and going to try and work towards by doing everything I can possible with Vic Roads.
Its true though we may get some laws that seem harder to get into, like compulsory training, harsher fines for unsafe clothing, but these are common sense I feel. When given a large calibre weapon dangerous to yourself or other peole, you should be trained and use proper safety equipment.
Where are you at Red? You in Vic, You following the thread on we need somewhere to ride?
Rgds

When i heard the news i felt very sorry, but i just hope that the rules to be implemented would be fair to all. _________________ "Invest with atv parts that are reliable and inexpensive." |
