Just a quick poll as to how many would donate and a idea of how much, maybe this may assist people in gaining a idea of some funds that could be raised . _________________ 2012 Can am Outlander Xt 1000cc

Id put $100 into owning a club that got me access to a variety of ride are's not just a single park.
But I would pay for access to a single park if it were provided.
Probably monthly or bi-monthly. _________________ www.asho.com.au for your shooting and outdoor needs

Hey Grizz, just a thought, How many motorbike/quad dealerships would there be in Vic ?
If a group like the QRCV did a mailout to all the registered dealers in Vic asking for a handout towards the establishment of a riding base including the distributors as well (kawi, honda, yam, polaris etc.) even a modest result of say $500 per dealer would go a long way, & these contributions could be acknowledged with appropriate advert signage at the premises in question when it was set up, that way if it worked out the riders would know who was supporting the cause & in turn could support those dealers in return.
One more thought, (that's 2 in 1 day !!! I better go lie down )
The Govt leases large tracts of land to some community based organisations long term & relatively cheaply. This could be an alternative avenue to explore.
Gotta go, I've got writers cramp !!

Thanks Preisty for your input ,, thats what this is all about.
I myself would like to see the greater effort go towards rec reg but dont think that will ever be on the cards, but this is an open forum so we can all discuss things and see what can be done.
Happy to help out in any way i can and yes there is power in numbers ,,, or the noisy wheel gets the most grease.
I cannot make it to the qrcv meeting and im not interested in joining as a member but happy to make a donation to a fund for qrcv to pursue this avenue if so wanted . i tend to agree with some that unless there is a large contingincy of numbers we will be fighting a losing battle for rec reg.
As Yogie stated if we were to gain rec reg we would not need a ride park as we would all be able to ride in varied places , but then again , there is no use 100 people putting there hand up for rec reg then when it comes through to paying the fee they relinquish on their previous needs.
Nsw have there conditional reg for riders ,, how many are prepared to pay for the reg how many are not ,, that would be interesting to know.
I ask another question if rec reg was available and it was to cost $500.00 who and how many would pay it , now lets be honest here because there is no use fighting for a cause when no-one will dip into their pocket , because if you want to dance you have to pay for the music.
That is just a few thoughts ,it is not directed as critiscism towards any group or individual, just some food for thought

Grizz
When you say $500 do you mean per anum or a one off or what terms?
$500 is starting to sound expensive to me on a pa basis but for complete RR freedom Id go that.
But also my view on the cash is probably the exception not the norm as those who have and afford ATV's and their upkeep pa probably see $500 as within budget, Im just on the cheap mate.
So my view is yeah if we could RR for $500 I think thats a reasonable figure.
But the issue I keep geting back to is bringing together a supporter base so we can more accurately canvass the punters. But thats my own beef it seems.
I really hope there is an avenue for both as I posted in the other thread.
Regards

I know this is a Vic forum thing, but...
If $2000 could help secure a big ride spot within 1.5 hours from my house and get me lifetime entry / membership, I'm in.
I'd be there for a few working bees too.
Maybe a bunch of Vics over there think the same way.
Either that or Priesty's idea of the Govt land is the go. _________________ Can-Am X Team

I'd be in for $2000 like bullit said, L'd also fork out $500 for RR if needed.
Hell I just had to pay $515 for a fine for riding un-reg'd.
And that only got me ONE ride.
Cheers....Rosco |

Hi Guys,
I would be prepared to pay $2,000 to be a lifelong member of a property to ride, it would have to be no more than 2 - 3 hours drive from the eastern suburbs and would need to be a fair chuck of land.
Of course also share the maintenance expenses and working bees, be great to camp there and safe for the kids to ride.
Not sure how to setup up in order to mitigate personal liability if someone was injured?
Regards Stewie |

Yeah Stewie.
You can get cover from the RTA as far as I know that covers you the same as nornal rego would, ie. full TAC insurance etc. From what I have read on the forum somewhere. This only lets you ride on private property though. I think this would cover the litigation problem ?? (maybe)
