 |
|
hey guys
i know some of you have got some shock laying around, so could you please get some measurements for me?
are 450 front shocks the same length (eye-to-eye) as banshee shocks?
if they are longer, do you think they can be lowered enough by backing off the pre-load?
thanks, mark _________________ 2002 SE Banshee |

Quoted from banshee hq
"The most critical dimension for this swap is the length. The YFZ shock is 1 3/4" longer than the stock Banshee unit."
that is 44.4500mm _________________ 01 Banshee

Hi folks, I have seen the YZF front end conversion to Banshee in the flesh and it sits way higher than standard you might not think 44mm is much but when you put it next to a standard Banshee the thing looks like a monsta truck. You would have to back off the preload so much you wouldnt not have eny and you still would not be low enough. Bite the bullet big fella and buy a HDUSA/IShock front end kit in +2+1 totaly transforms the way the Shee handles.

4Strocker, yea they are says on the box +2+1 and it looks like they are on the bike. Hey you know Herman Racing make some nice a-arms for the Banshee as wide as +3+1 with camber and caster adjust can buy sent to OZ for around $750. I just got a steering stem from them and its real nice stuff got it at a good price and they are a great mob to deal with. By the way mate nice Banshee pipes whish I had the money.

| I got some denton a arms witch are c and c adjustable and +2 +1 forward, only thing i didn't like about them was the heim joints but replaced them with fireball racing enclosed joints witch are greaseable aswell, very happy with them. |
