Hi everyone. I am new to the this forum. Been saving for a long time and today I have just put down a deposit for two new Grizzlys, a 700 in black for me & 450 for my wife. I have the option to have the 450 or the 660 for the same price, which do you think is the better quad? Just seen the new 550 looks cool, but don't think I can wait until it comes over here, we just need to get out there and ride. |

You might as well go the 660 because when ur misses finds out yours has got power steering she will want to ride that ,, then she will be whooping your butt on the 450 , so to be safe i would either go the 660 , or just straight out buy 2 of the 700 lol, hell its only money and ya cant take it with ya _________________ 2012 Can am Outlander Xt 1000cc

Thanks for the advice guys.
We are going to the shop on Thursday so she can ride them both, I should think it will only be up and down the drive.
I am thinking the 660 might be to big for her! What is the difference between the 450 & 660 apart from Size & Power, do they handle the same?
It is so difficult to choose a quad, no one will let you try before you buy, all you can do is sit on them and make engine noises.
What we need is somewhere you can go and ride all the quads, I would have gone anywhere to be able to do that. |

Honestly if you get the 660 for the same price as the 450 , i would go the 660 ,, only marginally heavier it will do it a bit easier and prolly better resale value down the track.
I own a 05 660 and im very happy with it, , and if you ever have a mate ride your mrs bike when u go on a ride at least he will be able to keep up with you.
The grizzly range is very reliable , and if i was you and was buying 2 quads id be telling the dealer that if he dont let you ride them that you will go somewhere else.
Happy riding hope to see you on the forum as a regular _________________ 2012 Can am Outlander Xt 1000cc

Get the 660 for the power steering alone.
Don't get me wrong, she will love the 450, but if price is equal I would go the 660.

If you can get the 660 for the same $ thats what i would do - just make sure wife understands
"with great power comes great responsibility"
welcome & enjoy the ride. _________________ Raptor 700 |

Went to the shop today. they had the 450 & 660 out ready to ride, so my wife first rode the 450, "nice quad" then she rode the 660 "very nice and not to big" Cool I through we will get the 660 for her. Went in to the shop to do the paperwork. "I Love the colour of that black one" she said pointing to a quad in the corner, I look around and saw she was pointing at my quad!!!!!
Alarm bells started ringing in my head I have lost my quad, before I have even ridden it.
What shall I do? As soon as she rides my quad ( the nice the black one ) with power steering I will get the 660. I know the 660 is a good quad but its no 700.
So I bit the bullet spent another $1400 and bought another 700, as Grizzly said "its only money and ya cant take it with ya"
My bank manager is not going to like me now, but that is ok I don't like him very much. And I now have 2 Grizzly 700's
Thanks all of you for your advice I will let you all know how we get on, on our first ride. |

Im glad you got 2 of the 700 cos hell she would be whining like mad if you come home from a long ride and she had sore arms and you didnt,, you know then that she would take the 700.
Welcome to the grizzly hope you enjoy it , have fun and stay safe _________________ 2012 Can am Outlander Xt 1000cc
