Just though getting a list of who needs fueling in Finke!
If you ride a quad we will help you out. At this stage you will need 3 jerrys for the trailer. Which will be loaded a the Heavytree Gap Motel clearly marked with your race Number by 10 am Friday. OR You can give me $140 per person to go in 200 Litre drum of Ultimate fill your quad with a fast fueler either way it doesn't matter.
Would somebody like to donate two flags for our pit entrance? some thing big and bright so we know where to stop. Sponsors welcome
There will be room for spares in the trailers like tyres goggles and camel packs. I will have rattle guns at both pits.
I will be giving both pit crew a survival kit if anybody care to donate something I'm sure they will drink it.

Great work Husky, this type of support will definitely encourage more quad riders to have a crack at Finke.
Fuel stops and mechanical support can be a real headache and source of worry, especially for first timers. Look forward to meeting you in Alice.
Any word on how many quad entries this year. |

There is a total of 51 Quad entries that made it into Finke with some 20+ others who are on a waiting list and have missed out for this 2008 Finke Desert Race. 2009 will be no different to this year with only 500 Bike entries being taken so to all you Quad riders please get your Early Bird entry in for next year. They normally come on line in Nov/Dec.Good Luck to all who are racing and I will see you at sign on. Remember to have all your paperwork and if over 45 years of age have a medical certificate. |

Well its over! another chapter in Quad History Now everybody I'm not going the same boring sh!t, thanking everybody, telling bullshit on how good my bike was when it was my ass that couldn't hack the whoops. Nope not gunna say any of that.
2009 here we come!
The Support Quad riders gave to each other was tremendous even when the Trusty Tarago was bogged. So if anybody is thinking about having a go at Finke in 2009 just PM one of many who are on this forum I'm sure will be to happy to lend a hand .
Friendly competition between brands is a good thing if it means more us get to ride. So don't be shy about asking your local bike dealer eg can Yamaha freight my quad to Alice and back? Its easy for dealers to do this.
