eek Word in the pits is there's a new Quad club forming in Qld for all walks of quadriders !!! eek
To begin with they were talking about organising a
"Qld Moto X Series" for 2009 laughing

I like the idea !

Has anybody got any more info on this Confused

How many rounds would there be ?

Where will they be run ?

What classes ?

Interesting

QLD already has an organised MX series in the form of Thunder X which while popular has never really achieved full grids - will this just lead to smaller grids and two series that are only half supported?

What do the organisers hope to achieve with another QLD quad club - would it be better to support and become active with the current QLD quad club?

To be supported by the riders in th north and central districts the series would have to have events in these areas???

Would it be possible to become part of the existing quad club?
The new club/group could just be central/ north Qld (if that is where you are on about), then you already have offiliation with M.A and the current sponsors and benefits. Seems to make more sense anyway. Smile

Good question, I shouldn't think so , there is no reason you couldn't do the Natural Terrain series and Moto X series. It would be another trophy on the wall , plus extra exposure for sponsers products and services , to a wider audience ! The best advertising is word of mouth, It could also help spread the word that the Thunder X exists.
I still meet new riders who have never heard of it!

I asked the same question!
As above I guess , there is no reason you can't be a member of both clubs !
Where would we be if there was only one bike manufacturer ,
competition is proven to increase performance Wink

Precisely , I believe there would be enough mx clubs all over Qld now that would be willing to host a round once word got around !

Possibly , but possibly not , probably just a result of the exponential growth of quad sales/riding in qld , more people want more choices Neutral
I know what you mean but, I couldn't see it taking anything away from other clubs , just adding another option for quad enthusiasts in Qld.

True Dat, it's all still relative to supply & demand , things will not get easier anytime soon with less supply & more dmand,,,,

Oil prices may 'super-spike' to $US200 Print Ed Welsch and Lananh Nguyen | May 07, 2008
TIGHTENING supplies of crude oil make it increasingly likely that prices will "super-spike" to between $US150 and $US200 a barrel within the next six to 24 months, Goldman Sachs said.

"We believe the current energy crisis may be coming to a head, as a lack of adequate supply growth is becoming apparent and resulting in needed demand rationing" in the West and especially in the United States, a team of Goldman analysts led by Arjun Murti told clients.
