Howdy everyone, sounds as though the TP 300 was a huge success, well done to Mick & everyone else that was involved in organising this monumental event. My understanding is feedback is positive++++, and i know the kids said the coaching by Rod was " WICKED ". Congratulations to everyone who had success over the weekend and bad luck to those who were stopped by mechanical problems, I haven't yet heard of all the goings on but i was happy to hear there were no major injuries.
Now I do have to say a "BIG THANKS" to everyone that has sent their good wishes since my bingle in Canberra, I don't think i could ever individually thank you all, many I have never met, so please accept this
as my 'sincere thanks'.
Finally I have made the return trip back to the 'Valley' and am settling in at Latrobe Regional Hospital with a new treating team. The flight home was fast & smooth, 11000ft, 190knts,1hr20min, nice landing. This was a relief after watching the pilot complete his " worst ever landing in 28yrs"
after getting caught in a "whirlly wind" at Canberra, both the pilot and nurse were very pleased to put their feet on the ground, at this point i was very hesitant about my pending flight, all was OK.
Now looking at tough rehab program which has started,it's great to finally be up & working towards getting "back on my feet" so to speak.
I don't think I will be riding for a while, currently a shower has me puffing & panting and a 1/2 hr at physio requires a "nanna nap" to recover, so the Tassie trip will just be a holiday for me.
Cheers & thanks Deano. |
